I stopped believing any of the "official excuses" after the 3rd or 4th.

Periodic oil sample analysis?

Filters will bypass if they can’t maintain enough flow due to contamination...it’s considered best to have some lubrication, contaminated or not vs. no lubrication at all.

If true theyâll be looking for a new CO, Chief Engineer (CHENG), and Main Propulsion Officer(MPO). I suspect on a LCS it's the one guy, who also has a lot of other duties as well.

I’m guessing at least viscosity, temperature, and water/metal contamination could be continuously tested.
