Barbara Bush praised her son's record in a new video released by Jeb Bush's campaign on Friday, titled simply "A Message From Barbara Bush."
“Jeb has been a very good father, a wonderful son, a hard worker. His heart is big," the former first lady said in the 30-second spot running on digital platforms, in coordination with a handwritten letter asking people to support her son's run. The digital spot features images of Bush with members of his family and shaking hands and talking to people on the campaign trail.
She also took an implicit dig at Donald Trump in asking for people to vote for her son.
"When push comes to shove, people are going to realize Jeb has real solutions, rather than talking about how popular they are, how great they are," she remarked. "He's doing it because he sees a huge need, and it's not being filled by anybody."
Echoing the campaign's "Jeb Can Fix It" line, Barbara Bush added, "Of all the people running, he seems to be the one who could solve the problems. I think he'll be a great president."

Mothers...they come in all sizes, shapes and determination...
I am a mother of 4, (children are all adults now) but I will defend them with my life...I can’t put another mother down, they might be right in my view, or they might be wrong in my view, but they are MOTHERS...
We are the ones that keep the home together, go to all events our children are in, we rock the cradles, and not just when their babies, we are the chosen people that God has a special mission for...Mothers, you can get mad, you can rant and rave, but at the end you put your arms around your children and let them know you love them...
I don’t like Jeb, but I can’t fault his mother, I may not agree with what she says, but she belongs to a large group that is well respected: Mothers across America and we all belong to that group...
I would rather die than cast another vote for another damned Bush!!!!

Well said Lady, and I agree. I think mothers and young kids are off limits. There is a line which reasonable people do not cross.
Ma Bush’s loving “testimonial” to her son is a PAID ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN.
I am aware of that and it makes no difference to me. I have a bar I will not cross.
When Babs decides to stay out of public politics she will be off-limits.
