Did I word something poorly in my post or something?

No. I did. for should have been form. I was taking a shot, because the Republic is the most important thing to me, not conservatism. The Republic can not survive the invasion of the Orc hordes.

It’s time to do something Bold, I’d like to see Americans vote for Trump or a known self identified socialist. The problem with Trump v. Hillary is Hillary hides her Marxism and low info voters think she’s a moderate.

Ok, now I am tracking with you. I would counter argue that our Republic is only a good place to live because of its conservative values and the checks and balances in our government. If we elect a strong man who stops the invasion but also strips away our freedoms have we really won?

Democrats are just as likely to embrace a hateful tone aimed those they hold liable for the ills of the nation. They just happen to direct that anger at clingy gun-owners, reactionary Christians or those who believe in the superiority of Western ideals.

Dude, it doesn’t “just happen”. Those are the things that
stand in the way of liberal domination.

Thank God.

You will get flamed for your post but not by me. I agree with you.

Among the degrees I hold is one in Germanic languages, which means I had to read a lot of German literature. After 1945, Germans did a lot of soul-searching, asking themselves “how could we let this happen?” Americans look at the Germany of that era and say “that can’t happen here.” Well, if you described the events of the next 20 years to the average German of 1927, they would have said the same thing.

It’s like the scene in Blazing Saddles, where Howard Johnson is talking about “Hoof and Mouth disease being a thing of the past”, and Olson cuts him off with, “Nevermind that s—t, here comes Mongo!”

In this case the Illegal Aliens are “Mongo.” Nothing else matters, we can talk about who is the more pure conservative once this is resolved.

The problem for me is that am skeptical whether any of the candidates would follow the Constitution all the time.

The question is really: Which one of the candidates would follow the Constitution most of the time?

I get you. I know what the rest of the field is going to get us. Defeat.

I am not so sure of that. Cruz is currently doing better in the general election polling verses Hillary than Trump is. It may end up being the sort of election year where we have the opportunity to elect any republican that can win our nomination.

My allegiance is first to my conservative principles and only secondarily to Sen. Cruz

******************************

I was prepared to abandon my conservative principles and vote for what I consider an ineligible candidate. I figured since the Democtrats did it, it’s now precedent.
Natural born citizen had a specific meaning to the men who used it in the Constitution and it did not mean even if only on one’s mother’s side according to the Naturalization Act of 1952.

So who are you supporting? I know it can’t be Trump because you stated that you didn’t want to abandon you’re conservative principles.

Cruz, Santorum or Trump.
Nominate any of them and I will vote for them.
The rest work for The Cheap Labor Express.
The most pressing issue is stopping the illegal alien inundation.

If I may, what Freedoms do you think Trump would strip away that haven’t already been taken from us by the Democrats, Obama, the GOPe and the RINO’s already controlling Congress?

Personally, I think the Republic we knew is already a goner.

We have become nothing but a Democracy where the Vote is used and abused to maintain the status quo of Liberalism and Statism. The SCOTUS has stripped the individual States of their Constitutionally mandated role within the Republic.

Most of us here have the wisdom of age, but the newest Generations have no idea of what Freedom represents or the sacrifices made to keep it for well over two Centuries.

As I have Posted before, in this day and age Ronald Reagan himself would never had made it past the Primaries, much less Elected as POTUS.

I just feel fortunate that I was able to be a part of the America that was, something Children Born today will never be able to experience. I can only hope I am mistaken.

But, oh well.

It’s ridiculous to suggest that Trump is going to be anything like Hitler. Disagree with him, fine. But to suggest he’s a dictator in waiting is ludicrous.

Look at each candidate from both parties and ask: “Do I believe this person would follow the Constitution?” And do they even know what the Constitution says?

IRRELEVANT.

If the Ruling Class is teaching us anything - it is teaching us that what We The People want, and what the Constitution prescribes, is Extremist, racist, unhinged and irrelevant in the era of modern politics.

Threats to the status quo will be bought off, intimidated, bribed or threatened.

Fascism is institutional now.

For Trump (or any Republican candidate for that matter) to make “America great again” would require dictatorial actions.

Corruption is institutionalized at all levels of the Federal Beast. The Judiciary has been stacked with radical Leftists.

You folks hanging all your hope on Trump being a messiah think he is going to be allowed to do ANYTHING to upset their Fascist gravy train?

Politics and the ballot box ARE NOT going to stop this train of tyranny we are currently on.

PERIOD.
