If I may answer your questions in order:
1) The members of, consultants to and donors to GROPe politicians;
2) Yes. I think it’s fair to say that “we” have demonstrated that level of “stupidity” repeatedly to them. They make promises to get elected, violate/break those promises and, by and large, get reelected two to six years later nonetheless. (Can you say Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Thad Cochran, etc.?) Furthermore, they actively and openly oppose those candidates that we want and we still vote for their preferred candidates. I am desperately hoping that we prove otherwise in this election cycle;
3) Yes;
4) Yes, advertising brings a lot of money to those who own and invest in those networks, see the answer to question 1.
