I really don’t care what they do. I haven’t watched the Oscars for 20 years. This just makes me want to avoid Oscar more than ever. Anyone named Oscar, Oscar Meyer wieners, Oscar de la Renta are now off my list.
Here's one that's fair to all blacks in the industry.
On years no blacks are nominated a dart board with names of black actors, directors, etc could be put on the wall. One Academy member would be designated as the person who ‘throws darts across the room’. Then whoever’s name is hit becomes a nominee.
That way blacks who don't win on merit can still be nominated.
Spike Lee and Michael Moore should tell the Academy how many blacks MUST 'win' every year - that number of darts would be used from this point forward...
Then you get into the “who picked the dart thrower” line of thought. Face it, there just ain’t no winnin’ this ridiculous crap. Those not nominated, slink off into the corner and count your money.
Michael Moore or Spike Lee could throw the darts... and why just ‘a few’... Maybe 15% of all nominees should be black.
In for a penny in for a pound...
In keeping with the overall race numbers in the U.S. Oooops. Dang, now we’ll have the “latino” segment up in arms. How many Vietnamese have you seen at the oscars? Oh, you don’t waste your time either huh? LOL! So why are we wasting time on it?

5 white actors
3 asians
1 black
4 misc, gays, transgenders, bi....etc
That would be fun to watch.
And it could be open to all races... whites, blacks, asians etc... only requirement would be 'liberal'... put upon...
