Because the Smiths are trying to "keep it real" while going after fictitious racism in Hollywood, and it's backfiring on them.

They’re drawing attention because the keep mouthing off. Mouthing off gets publicity and there’s no such thing as bad publicity. And then there’s their wackadoodle kids who can’t seem to draw enough attention.
