"...."In the past several weeks, the presidential contest has clarified. I have decided to endorse Ted Cruz and to urge other serious conservatives to join me in supporting Cruz," Blackwell wrote.
He then listed the qualities necessary in a successful Republican presidential nominee in 2016:
In the piece I wrote last November, which you can see here, I discussed several factors important to consider in making a choice. Here they are:
Has the candidate a record of personal activism and leadership for conservative principles?
Is the candidate surrounded by people notable for their firm commitment to conservative principles?
Are the candidate's currently stated policy positions solidly conservative?
Has the candidate ever continued to fight hard for conservative principles when it appeared to be a losing battle?
Does the candidate frequently reverse his or her positions on important issues?
Has the candidate built a record of helping conservative organizations and working to elect conservative candidates?
If elected, would the candidate melt when the heat is on?
Can the liberal media destroy any truly conservative presidential candidate?
"Applying those questions and similar considerations to the current candidates and their campaigns," Blackwell continued, "you and I should unite in support of a candidate who could win election and whom we believe would be the most determined and effective conservative president. I believe that person is Sen. Ted Cruz."
Cruz, Blackwell wrote "has consistently demonstrated his deep commitment to conservative principles. He works hard for those principles. He is very smart. He's a world-class speaker. He has shown that he can raise the large amounts of money necessary to win the nomination and the November election."
Blackwell pointed to Cruz's organizational capabilities, noting that he has put together "what is probably the best national ground-game campaign.".....
"Hours before President Obama was scheduled to deliver his final State of the Union Address, one of the president's most vocal national critics, Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar, endorsed the man who arguably is Obama's biggest detractor: Texas U.S. Senator Ted Cruz.
In a statement released today, Gosar says he thinks Cruz "will make a great president" because having "worked with him in the trenches, fought battles with him on the Hill, [Cruz] has proven himself to be honorable, tough, and a man of his word." Both Gosar and Cruz are known for their tough anti-federal government rhetoric and media-grabbing congressional shenanigans: Gosar famously boycotted the Pope's address to Congress..."
Praying that Cruz will be our next president.
As for the sign- "More stuff upstairs" means his (Cruz) brain power :)
Holy sh!t batman, you mean you are Bruce Wayne too?????
Get back on the lithium schitz. Your rambling is bordering on incoherent.
The 6 he mentioned are all on the right and do not include the mannequin on the left. Just to clarify.
HUDSON, N.H. Plano-based Kelly Shackelford, a top legal activist on behalf of Christian liberty, today endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz for president, the campaign announced. It wasn't much of a surprise. Shackelford was at Cruz's side at rallies for religious liberty in Iowa last August and in South Carolina in November.
"For me, the number one issue is religious liberty, and on that issue the choice is easy," said Shackelford, president and CEO of Liberty Institute. "Ted Cruz not only believes in religious liberty, he champions it. I have fought alongside him and watched his willingness to sacrifice for our first freedoms. His brilliance, his understanding, and his proven commitment - not just words - are unequalled in this race. I don't have to worry about what he will do: I've watched him do it in battle. As someone who has been committed to fighting for religious liberty for over 26 years, I wholeheartedly endorse Ted Cruz for President. He is the clear choice."..

The Liberty Institute is a religious liberty advocacy and legal defense organization founded in 1972 under the name Free Market Foundation. Liberty Institute is headed by Kelly Shackelford. Liberty Institute has since shifted focus to providing pro bono legal assistance to people of faith and organizations that they believe are suffering religious persecution in the United States, such as students, veterans, and pastors whose religious free exercise rights they believe are being violated.
Prominent Cases
Among Liberty Institute's most prominent cases are the Fall 2015 defense of football coach Joe Kennedy of Bremerton High School; the "Candy Cane Case"; the veterans memorial cross cases, in which several veterans memorials in the shape of a cross have been challenged by the Freedom From Religion Foundation and the ACLU; legal actions taken to stop a report on an investigation into Sarah Palin being published, and numerous legal cases filed in Texas courts concerning First Amendment and religious freedom issues............................"
It is a simple thing to fix. Browser displays UTF-8 Entry is UTF-8 Database is not. Not at the presentation level, not at the entry level (Previews don’t show it) it is at the database level. Simply have to set the database to use UTF-8, oh... and reset all previous posts to utf-8 ;-) might be hard to do. There are LOTS of postings.
Really. You may want to recount your fingers. ;-)
I’m sure Trump would make a fine pretend CEO on a reality TV show. Not much of a President, but a real good fake CEO on a reality TV show.
I agree. Also, it looks like some kind of yellow placard on his Tee shirt.
If by warrior, you mean someone who had multiple student deferments, and got a medical exemption when Nixon put an end to student deferments, then yes, Trump is a "warrior." If you mean someone with a big mouth who's mostly driven companies into the ground and made good use of seizing other peoples' property via eminent domain while failing to pay his own bills, then yes, Trump is a "warrior." If you mean anything else typically associated with "warrior" you aren't talking about The Donald®.
I’m sure book smart Ted would make a decent lawyer or college lecturer, but I am not sure what executive positions he has ever held and he has made most of his living on the government dole. Good talker, no so great doer.
What happened today? A reality TV star got an endorsement from another reality TV star. Wow. What a day. Washington is spinning in his grave like a lathe.
Right. Because stealing property from property owners via eminent domain and then going bankrupt shows what a great “CEO” and money manager you are.
Go back to DU.
Indeed, many Christians have fallen for the Donald; there's no way he could be doing well in Iowa without them. The melding of Trumpianity with Christianity has been among the more awkward and grotesque phenomenons I've ever witnessed in my life. I watch it unfold feeling like a guy whose best friend just started dating the town floozy. I try to tell him that she's sleeping around, she's betraying him, she'll break his heart, but he's too smitten to hear me. I fear many of my brothers and sisters in Christ are making the same mistake, and the spectacle is causing me an immense amount of emotional and spiritual pain.http://www.theblaze.com/contributions/dear-christians-if-you-vote-for-a-godless-man-you-are-asking-for-tyranny/
Looks like they were standing in line to pay for thier purchases,,wondering who this yahoo is making a speech.
That’s so great! Looks like the Church Leaders are getting behind Cruz in a big way....not really surprising...they understand fully what is at stake.
