Video of The Donald Opining on Libya in 2011

Donald Trump often rails against U.S. intervention in the Middle East that topples dictators whose exits lead to unstable regional consequences like the rise of ISIS and other terrorist groups. But one intervention he has subsequently come to pan — the 2011 U.S. intervention in Libya, which led to the toppling of longtime leader Muammar al-Qaddafi — Trump once very loudly called for on humanitarian grounds. “I mean, look at Libya,” Trump said on CNN’s State of the Union last year. “Look at Iraq. Iraq used to be no terrorists. He [Saddam Hussein] would kill the terrorists immediately, which is like, now it’s the Harvard of terrorism. If you look at Iraq from years ago, I’m not saying he was a nice guy — he was a horrible guy — but it was a lot better than it is right now. Right now, Iraq is a training ground for terrorists. Right now, Libya, nobody even knows Libya, frankly there is no Iraq and there is no Libya. It’s all broken up. They have no control. Nobody knows what’s going on.” When asked if the world would be better with Qaddafi in power, Trump said, “100%.” Trump made similar comments on Meet the Press this year as well. “You wouldn’t have had your Benghazi situation,” said Trump. “It’s not even a country.” The comments are a sharp contrast for Trump from 2011, when, on his video blog, he pushed hard for the United States to intervene in Libya.

Video proof of The Donald calling for HildaBeast and Barry to intervene in Libya and depose Gaddafi.

We all know how that turned out, but now, incredibly The Donald is against intervention. Flip Flopper anyone?

This is no longer a political forum.

This is the official meeting place for the Donald Trump worship team.

Don’t confuse these poor souls with the facts.

Let them live in their fantasy.

Nobody cares, regardless of how many times you post it.

So Trump's backing of that ill-fated foray into Libya that set the stage for murder and mayhem doesn't strike you as anything resembling an error in judgment?

Exactly... and notice how their level of vitriol rises with each negative statement about His Holy Trumpness?

I'm talking about the snarling vitriol among many of his worshippers here in FR.

Well hot damn private citizen Trump totally got Obama to do it right? So what did the congress do to stop it beside a show-vote if that?

I was all for the invasion of Iraq, likely like most of you and Ted Cruz.

Today I want all of our people out and to leave the place to the Russians.

And it matters not a damn compared to other topics.

Trump is always right. He was right about Libya. He was right when he praised Clinton after Benghazi. He was right to support Democrats. He was right on TARP and bailouts. He is always right. He is just so right about everything that you will get tired of hearing about how right he always is on everything.

Trump, he is always right. Just ask him.

Just remember, what we consider vitriol is actually just a "thrill going up the leg" of a Trump devotee.

-"Let them live in their fantasy."

I see as 'fantasy' the belief that an unproven - no experience ideologue (like Ted Cruz), whom I admire by the way, is ever going to become a President in this country. Ronald Reagan for all the admiration and criticism bestowed upon him while trying to become President in 1976 and 1980, was a... 2X GOVERNOR.

Ted Cruz's beliefs and eloquent intelligent oral skills WILL NOT BE ENOUGH to win the Presidency and SUCCEED in turning this country around.

Have you met Cincinatus’ Wife or CatherineofAragon or many others of their ilk??

They prove “snarling vitriol” is alive and well among Cruz worshippers here in FR.

Be fair.

What you should lose sleep over is a guy who is undisciplined, who has no CORE values, and who will say literally anything about any topic, at any time.

I actually listened to his speech at Liberty University yesterday, and while I give Trump his due as being a very smart guy, he is much like Obama in that he thinks he knows more than he does.

He reminds me of Obama, thin skin, narcissist, know it all, etc.
