Necessity is the mother of invention. I see Taiwan defending itself with a cloud of autonomous toy-sized drones. There is no other way for a country as politically isolated and militarily overwhelmed to defend itself. When they do this, it will obsolete just about every other manned weapon system and truly equalize opponents of big powers.
