Trump is on the offense in Iowa, because he is facing a major humiliating defeat there.
Cruz, on the other hand is on the offense in New Hampshire and beyond where he needs to make up significant ground.
By the way, do you understand the concepts of offense and defense?
Got it.
Sorry but a loss in Iowa is not devasting for Trump given Iowa’s track record in past primaries.
One Tuesday Trump will be having a rally with thousands of people in Iowa and most likely an important conservative endorsement. Meanwhile, Cruz will be at some random VFW in NH drinking a Bud Light with a few guys.
Those optics are awful for Cruz. The contrast will be striking.
One person here is going to be the next POTUS. The other is going back to his day job. It’s really not difficult to figure out who is who.
I could not disagree with you more. The optics provide the following contrast: Ted Cruz, down-to-earth, approachable, one of us, someone who connects with the people. Donald Trump, jet-setter, drive by campaigner, no rapport with the people, on-stage whiner and blowhard. The contrast is striking and it will be more striking yet with Iowa and New Hampshire behind us.
Watch the polls carefully in the next 12 to 14 days. These are going to be very tough days for Donald Trump as he faces actually losing and losing big.
