Cruz/Walker sounds good to me.

I second that emotion.
Yes, dj, those “balance” pairings don’t work too well, but most don’t know that.
One of the worst balanced pairings did get elected... Reagan-Bush. Reagan should’ve chosen along the lines of Bubba Clinton and gone with neighboring Sen. Paul Laxalt. Laxalt wasn’t a RINO and wouldn’t have gone full weasel and lost reelection. Reagan’s single biggest mistake in a choice of running mate (worse than Dick Schweiker).
There was Dewey-Warren, but that was repudiated.
Of course, had Warren become VP, he might not have ever become Chief Justice. But the bad news is that he might’ve succeeded Dewey as President in 1957.
If Trump gets the nomination he’s gotta make Cruz his VP but my question to you is if Cruz, gets the nomination does he make Trump his VP? It’s an all around question as to who needs who in this unless we assume that Trump doesn’t want to be the VP and he goes into the private sector or Cruz, turns down Trump and focuses the Senate.
An absolute must.
"but my question to you is if Cruz, gets the nomination does he make Trump his VP? Itâs an all around question as to who needs who in this unless we assume that Trump doesnât want to be the VP and he goes into the private sector or Cruz, turns down Trump and focuses the Senate."
Trump will not accept the #2 slot under any circumstances. He's an executive, not a person to serve as second banana. Age is a factor, too. Of course, he wouldn't have taken VP even if this was back in 1988 or 1992 when he was in his 40s. At this point, he's either going to serve as President or return to the private sector or even outright retire and pass off the business to his capable adult children (although I frankly can't see him retiring until he's carried out feet-first).
As for Cruz, he'll have to assess whether it's better for him to stay an iconoclast in the Senate (where he will never be elected to leadership and years before he gets to a committee chairmanship, which I'm sure leadership will do their damndest to keep him from getting) or hitch himself to Trump's star as VP, in which case that puts him next in line to the Presidency. If Trump is a bust, a VP Cruz may go down in flames (a la Quayle), but if Trump is a success, that will pass on to Cruz (a la Reagan with Senior Bush). I just hope they can bury the hatchet with regard to the current unpleasantness, which I really hate seeing.
Last week will be remembered as the "scorched earth" event where Trump committed political suicide by pissing off 10,000,000 conservatives in his vain attempt to win Iowa.
It will be a decision he will regret.
His February 2017 speech will say that the wall was hyperbole, and he will legislate and play nice with his nice liberal dimocratic friends.
HAHA!
Trump’s Chump’s get fooled yet again!
