If it was a transfer, whatever ‘it’ was had to be very small and had to be done quickly out of sight of land or shipping - like plans, or a small piece of tech ... say the motherboard and guidance systems for ICBMs, or field cryptogear?

I have been bothered by the uniforms from the moment I saw the images. As far as I can tell most of the Navy wears those terrible blue ACU’s. The crew’s pants appear to be the latest ACU pattern from the US Marine Corps.
How about getting an interview with one of the crew members. My take some doing but it may turn out to be worthwhile.
