The liberals here were also offended by Cruzâs hit on New York values. Funny thing is, a year ago someone demanding New York values in our next President would have been mocked and zotted... How things have changed...
Odd times indeed! I find myself surprised often reading comments on Free Republic nowadays.

Everybody knows what Ted meant..
They just have to twist it.
That comment gave Cruz the win in the debate by a wide margin.
Bringin’ home the bacon, America wide.

Yes, division is the Godly way.
(Matthew 10:34-36)
Cruz had it so right it will echo all the way to his inauguration.

In my great regard for your OP, only one word will suffice to express my position:
Quack.

So don’t call New York values what they are. Play nice and get along and don’t be divisive. That sounds an awful lot like the GOPe position...
And here I thought the big thing Trump was bringing to the table was calling it like it is. Not being PC. Exposing and crushing his enemies with no mercy...
Funny how you want it both ways...

I’m reminded of many of the posts here where California was bashed because of some law passed there that was very “progressive” (and therefore all Californians were painted with the broad brush, a good portion of whom are conservative).
The same could be said about most every other politically “blue” state, over the years.
But now, since Trump is from New York and Cruz is his political opponent, why, that’s just too much!
Oh my goodness! Those poor New Yorkers have been offended. The horrors of it all. Surely Cruz did not criticize New York!! Tell me it’s not so.

Cruz speaks for Iowa.
Cruz speaks against New York.
Trump speaks for America.

Are you from Bizzarro World? Nope, I'm from Texas, and I'm not a move in like Cruz. My family was here when it was still a Republic. Thanks for asking, though.

It’s a shame Cruz deems it necessary to become so divisive. He’s doing this just for a handful of Iowa delegates. It’s a bad investment: he may gain Iowa delegates, but at the steep cost of losing so many more coastal delegates.
Trump is the better investor.
Thanks for the compliments on the tagline!

Well, Fox definitely got this one right!
Ted Cruz definitely got it right, and Donnie Trump is apparently still covering for his leftie cohorts.

Cruz does America a service by dividing us from destructive NYC ‘values.’
Trump lost what little spine he had by trying to misstate Cruz’ comment in hopes of gaining points with the lefties.
Trump is history; America rejects NYC garbage.
