The Constitution doesn’t limit impeachment to sitting officers.
It only requires that the person under charge be alleged to have committed a “high crime or misdemeanor” — which presumably would include submitting a false birth certificate while attempting to qualify in a federal election.

Then why did so many courts in response to suits in reference to Obama's qualifications simply state that, "Obama isn't a sitting President so the suit as to his qualifications has no merit." Why didn't they respond to the plaintiff(s) to seek redress through the Congress?
The original post tried to make a point based upon a very flawed assumption and that needed to pointed out. There were thousands of such children in SVN, probably none in the north.

Sounds like you’re full of more bluster and bombast than what you accuse Trump of. Trump hasn’t had time for much of that as he was busy building a real estate empire and becoming a multi-billionaire over the last 30 years. What have you been doing that is comparable?

It’s a very difficult matter to analyze, because in most cases, there is no “conventional” legal documentation of the father’s identity, even when the father is willing to fess up and claim paternity.
On the other hand, in the extremely unlikely event that any such child eventually should rise to high political prominence in the USA, and if it could be persuasively demonstrated by DNA or other non-documentary methods that the father truly was an American, I can’t imagine that in the end, the SCOTUS would declare the child ineligible for the Presidency.
