Surprising article from NYslimes- GOTED!!! For much of his career in Washington, Ted Cruz has been dismissed as a cartoonish sideshow â an ostrich-boot-wearing ideologue who once delivered a sleep-inducing 21-hour monologue on the floor of the Senate reading from the childrenâs story âGreen Eggs and Ham.â A âwacko bird,â in the words of a Republican colleague, Senator John McCain of Arizona. On Thursday night that simplistic, superficial image was swept away. Mr. Cruz did not just dominate much of the Republican debate, he slashed, he mocked, he charmed and he outmaneuvered everybody else onstage â but none as devastatingly and as thoroughly as this campaignâs most commanding performer, Donald J. Trump.

Brace yourselves, Trumpsters, you may have to reach for the Xanax after reading this.
Dismissed by who?
Ted has been slashing his way through the jungle since the race started.
Trump/Cruz
Cruz/Trump
I could care less as long as it’s one or the other.
Blah, blah, blah...
But if he is the nominee, at least I wont have to plug my nose when I pull the lever for him.
Agreed.
Praising Cruz because what they really fear is a Trump candidacy. These libs are so transparent.
Who reads the Times?
I guess this particular reporter wants to keep his job.
Ah yes, the old Jedi mind trick: “This is not the Donald Trump you are looking for.”
This is great. Cruz is now the great hope for the status quo crew. I’m happy with that.
Trump/Cruz, Cruz on the SCOTUS, Cruz/?, it’s all good. (I don’t think Trump is any good for VP, but wouldn’t he make a great Press Secretary?!)
Cruz's best endorsement yet.
For the first time in the wild, caustic and bruising Republican campaign, Mr. Trump was in the position that so many who have tried to challenge him had found themselves in: flustered, frustrated and unable to regain his footing.I warned the Trump camp.
His silly attacks against Cruz over the past few weeks focused voters' attention on Cruz.
With Trump and Cruz standing next to each other, there was no way that Trump could win in a side-by-side comparison.
And voila.
It's going to be this way from here on out. Cruz, Trump and Rubio.
And the results will be the same.
Rats, praise from the NYT.
Then again, now that I think of it, isn’t it interesting that the NYT has for the most part protected their home-town (er, cesspool) boy?
See! Cruz really is loved by the MSM / GOPe / RINO / Uniparty guys! The NYT is giving him love today!
Therefore, Trump has to be our candidate. Because NYT!
“Ted Cruz has been dismissed [by the liberal media]as a cartoonish sideshow.”
Normally, to be a press agent, you have to be able to string three sentences together without ADHD ramblings.
Trump wants to fire anyone that can’t do a good job, by his estimation. Ironically, when he gives “speeches” I want to fire him. He is a very poor speaker. Entertainer yes, but as an orator, he is awful.
Trump and Cruz are both great speakers and public personalities, but very different.
Cruz has the intellect, experience and training though to have absolutely watertight logic
Cruz was cringeworthy at times. More like “thrashing”.
