Dean Parker was under fire for big spending, including paying himself $20,000 a month.
Ben Carson's national finance chairman resigned Thursday amid questions about his use of campaign funds and criticism from Carson allies and donors. Carson, a retired neurosurgeon, appointed Parker, a tech industry entrepreneur from Mobile, Alabama, in May to spearhead the campaignâs fundraising efforts. Parkerâs been a relatively little-noticed campaign power, having Carsonâs ear despite friction with other leaders. Since he joined, some campaign insiders told POLITICO, his operation has piled up unnecessary expenses and paid hefty consulting fees to an inexperienced staff. Parker recently began earning a $20,000 monthly salary, which veteran campaign operatives say is unusual for what is typically an unpaid, honorary role.

If the $20k a month was to do everything, and handle IRS paperwork....I probably wouldn’t say a word. If he’s not doing ‘everything’....fire the guy.
There was some scandal about Carson's charity and what he was paying someone.
You are correct and Carson was talked into running by John Philip Sousa IV, who is a shadowy character.
I don't think he got in it for the money. He wrote his book for the money, but the presidency is not like receiving royalties or retiring from his investments on his doctoring years.
He is a good man who has been out-matched.
The Federal Elections Commission is unconstitutional, as are all laws pertaining to what is permissible for a citizen who wants to present himself for public office.
Carson’s pals Farakhan and Sharpton are gonna be sad over this!
