Dear Ted,

If you're serious about defending the Constitution, would you as President, be willing to forego your own prestige and power and that of your fellow government colleagues in favor of America, the American People, and the Constitution by dismantling the 80% + portion of the federal government that is unconstitutional including most of your cabinet and the hideous so-called "Administrative State" resulting in the laying off of hundreds of thousands of government officials, bureaucratic heads, and workers?

You would be hated by everyone except those who value true political freedom, which the Constitution guarantees, and posterity which would always hold a special place for one who sacrificed his own benefit for the sake of future generations. You would also live and leave this world in peace knowing you have been true to your calling, to yourself, and to your God. And that's all that really matters.

Love to hear back from you.

God bless,

Jim Newell

If only we could combine the best of Cruz and Trump and keep the establishment from cheating at the voting booth.

Cruz uses “Constitution” as a hypnotic trigger word. He simply says “Constitution” and his supporters fall into a swoon.

Cruz:

“I fought the United Nations and WON defending U.S. sovereignty. As President, I’ll defend our Constitution!”

But as senator, he voted for the Obama agenda:

TPA which turns American sovereignty over to an international cartel

And the Corker bill, which I could elaborate on, but he does such as good job at condemning it himself.

Ted Cruz is already “hated by everyone except those who value true political freedom, which the Constitution guarantees, and posterity which would always hold a special place for one who sacrificed his own benefit for the sake of future generations”. And those “non-haters of Cruz” will make up the majority of the electorate this year, IMHO.

Cruz has already shown he is willing to face those who are feeding from the taxpayers’ trough and tell them that the free goodies will be ending under his watch. An example of this is his telling Iowa voters that he would phase out the ethanol “mandates/subsidies” and free up the free market.

Trump’s reaction when facing Iowa voters on the same ethanol issue? -— He pandered and essentially said...THE PARTY CONTINUES.

You can’t defend the Constitution as President if you cheat to get there.

I am appalled that so many on this site are falling in with Ginsburg when it comes to Cruz just so he can get elected. Totally forgetting that it opens the door to all kinds of scenarios and jihadists.

Insert the name Charles Manson with Cruz birth details. You may think the voters would never vote for a Charles Manson type.

Obambi ain’t far off.

No you won’t when you’ll be violating it by your very presence in the White House.

This is getting completely ridiculous. While I, too, have my questions about Cruz, don’t any of the Trump supporters question the fact that, not long ago at all, Trump’s politics were more akin to those of John Kerry and Hillary Clinton than Ronald Reagan?

I love what Trump SAYS, but Trump is a populist extraordinaire. How much of what he says is really believable? Is there any evidence whatsoever that he’ll adhere to his promises and assurances (aside from tax increases and universal health care) anymore than John Boehner, Mitch McConnel, John McCain or anyone else in the GOPe? Does anyone really believe that he actually intends to round up over 11 million illegal aliens and deport them or that an “expedited process” that allows the “good ones” to return isn’t de facto amnesty? Does anyone really believe that, as one of the most successful real estate developers in the country, Trump is not beholden to the big investment banks? Do you realize that your abject hatred of Ted Cruz puts you right there with Boehner, McConnell, McCain, et al?

Ted Cruz isn’t a perfect candidate, but then, neither is Donald Trump.

Dear Ted,
You obviously have no intention of defending our constitution. The very fact that you are running is an indication that you spit on the constitution and what it stands for.

You even obtained your current position as Senator illegally. The Constitution clearly states a Senator must be nine years a citizen and you did not even renounce your Canadian citizenship, did not even disclose it until after your election.

Defending the Constitution is part of the oath of office found in the Constitution.

I would just like someone to defend Article II, Section 1.
