Israel National News describes a Kuwaiti newspaper's report about President Barack Obama's post-presidential plans as "somewhat far-fetched," but apparently plausible enough to bounce through publications around the world. According to the Al Jarida report, President Obama wants to be appointed Secretary-General of the United Nations after he leaves the White House, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is working to thwart his ambitions.
Al Jarida has Netanyahu exclaiming, "Is it not enough that we have had to live through eight years of Obama's rule, in which he ignored Israel? Now he wants to be in a position to cause us difficulty in the international arenas?" Netanyahu also reportedly complained about President Obama's "closeness to the Muslim Brotherhood, the toppling of Hosni Mubarak's regime in Egypt, and attempts to forge alliances with political Islam," as well as the President's nuclear deal with Iran, according to an Israeli source.
Netanyahu is said to have compared the likely outcome of the Iranian nuclear deal with the current consternation over North Korea's claimed development of a hydrogen bomb. The Washington Times adds a quote from a Netanyau aide who ostensibly told the Kuwaiti paper his boss exclaimed, "Obama is the worst president Israel has had to deal with and the worst president for the Middle East and its allies, the moderate Arab states."
Although the rumor about President Obama and Netanyahu sparring behind the scenes over the Secretary-General slot has been mentioned in a variety of media outlets over the weekend, all of those references apparently trace back to the Al Jarida report, which Israel National News observers has not been corroborated by any other source as of yet.

A number of FR’s including me have predicted that this is his next target.
He loves power and hates work.
Perfect fit as Secretary General at the UN.
First he ruins the USA now he wants to ruin the world.
If this happens, this will definitely set up the NWO!
The good news... I guess... is that the UN generally tries to avoid giving power to someone from a superpower nation.
The first was from England, but after that: Norway, Sweden, Burma, Austria, Peru, Egypt, Ghana, and now South Korea.
Unfortunately, I do see a note that Ban Ki-Moon intends to relinquish the position after his term ends... 31 December 2016. Oy.
My understanding of the UN Charter indicates that the SecGen ^cannot^ be a citizen of the Security Council membership (5 countries).
Am I wrong to say that our Obamugabe can’t be SecGen unless he gives up his US citizenship in favor of his (supposed) Kenyan birth?
"Alger Hiss (November 11, 1904 - November 15, 1996) was an American lawyer, government official, author, and lecturer. He was involved in the establishment of the United Nations both as a U.S. State Department and U.N. official. Hiss was accused of being a Soviet spy in 1948 and convicted of perjury in connection with this charge in 1950.
On August 3, 1948, Whittaker Chambers, a former Communist Party member, testified under subpoena before the House Committee on Un-American Activities (HUAC) that Hiss had secretly been a Communist while in federal service. Chambers had previously testified under oath that Hiss had never been a Communist or a spy, and Chambers would admit, under oath, to other instances where he had committed perjury under oath. Called before HUAC, Hiss categorically denied the charge. When Chambers repeated his claim on nationwide radio, Hiss filed a defamation lawsuit against him.
During the pretrial discovery process, Chambers produced new evidence indicating that he and Hiss had been involved in espionage, which both men had previously denied under oath to HUAC. A federal grand jury indicted Hiss on two counts of perjury; Chambers admitted to the same offense but, as a cooperating government witness, was never charged. Although Hiss's indictment stemmed from the alleged espionage, he could not be tried for that crime because the statute of limitations had expired."
They said the same thing about Clinton as he approached the end of his tenure.
A lot of countries would be against Obama after watching him for 8 years. The Secretary-General is supposed to be a conciliator, not someone who specializes in insulting people he disagrees with and pitting one group against another.
True, hence his “Clinton Global Initiative Fund” where he could wield power and influence outside the UN, and use US funds along with bribery funds to control nations and parts of the US without having any political office. His fund and organization is like a “Gentlemans Mafia Organization” where he operates outside the law, and is sanctioned because of extortion, blackmail, and money.
I think the most telling about this is, they are trying to pay off the DNC debt of millions of dollars to secure Hillary’s DNC nomination. Essentially they are buying the Democrat nomination for president, all while she is under investigation by the FBI for espionage.
We are becoming like a 3rd world country politically. I mean, this stuff only happens in the movies and we would laugh because we’d say “this would never happen here”. But it is happening.
NWO and a monster is unleashed!
the hidden nugget: Obama is actively campaigning to become UN Secretary General (as if you didn’t already know)
“the UN generally tries to avoid giving power to someone from a superpower nation.”
I pray you are right!
Sounds logical to me that a supreme narcissist would set this goal
Jetting around in super luxury
Delivering useless speeches to adoring rich liberals
People of all color bowing and scraping to his faux superior intelligence
Not a finger to lift except on worldwide golf courses
Adoring media
ValJar as his personal aide to tuck him in at night
Reggie to carry his gym bag
Little time spent with mooch and her mother
Maybe that’s why he’s working so hard to make sure we are not a super power anymore
Good point. Maybe.
If trump wins, the first thing he should do is defund the UN and kick them out of this country.
And maybe a President Trump would first of all have the UN Headquarters moved from the US. Secondly, he might want to consider the benefits of remaining in the UN under the leadership of Obama.
