'150 agents' working Clinton Foundation probe: Ex-U.S. atty
The Washington Examiner ^ | January 11th, 2016 | By Sarah Westwoo

A former U.S. attorney said the FBI's reported investigation of "public corruption" at the Clinton Foundation has actually been going on for months, although it made headlines for the first time Monday.

Joseph DiGenova, who was appointed by President Ronald Reagan, said the FBI's foundation probe "has reached such a proportion of inquiry that it's starting to sneak out," but that it was sparked months ago by information pulled from Hillary Clinton's private server and from the tax filings of corporations that have donated to the charity.

"There are now, I am told, 150 agents working on this case," DiGenova told the Washington Examiner Monday, noting that was "a very unusually high number" of investigators to be working on one case.

Talk of Clinton's legal woes returned in full force Monday with reports that the FBI has expanded its investigation to include the alleged exchange of favors between Clinton Foundation insiders and State Department leadership under Clinton.

I think they’re prepping us for officials other than Hillary. All the articles I’ve read closely talk a lot, not about her, but about aides and officials connected to her. I think these stories are setting the stage.

Not a defense for handling classified information. Furthermore, it was her private email server - not theirs.

On top of that, the new avenue the investigation has supposedly taken is looking for quid pro quo with the Clinton foundation receiving donations in return for favorable treatment by her department.

It’s not looking good for her right now. I think all of us have a knee jerk “they are teflon” response, but there has never been a more overwhelming case than this one based on what I have read. It seems indisputable.

All this because her hubris said she did not need to carry “two phones” because it was inconvenient. She already has a “likability” problem as a candidate so the more airtime this gets the better. I won’t count on this, but I also won’t be surprised to see some major happenings on the rat side soon because they (not us) already seem to be suggesting alternatives.

I believe that we are being sandbagged. The current CW is that the FBI will recommend charges but the AG Will decline. What if that is a wrong assumption? What if the FBI is dedicating all these resources so that it can simply clear Hillary? The FBI has expanded its “probe to the Clinton Foundatuon. Hmmm, the two areas where there is danger for her and they are being investigated, by this administration. I suspect that the FBI is serving as a washing machine by which to cleanse Hil of any wrongdoing.

We had an extensive investigation,” we will be told. “Time to move on now.” Nothing to see here!!

Yep sandbagged.

Why do you think they put Chelsea’s name on the Foundation?
She’s their patsy. You don’t think that’s beneath them do you? lol

I know some former Assistant US attorneys who prosecuted public corruption. I am led to believe that there is an unwritten rule not to indict a politician running for office in an election year, so don’t hold your breath on this one.

the only reason the Clintons were Teflon was that they were in control of the federal government when most of the crimes happened in the 90s. They are not in control today and have not been in control for over 15 years. The current administration is her political enemies with in the Democratic party it self. I personally think both Hillary and Bill are going to be in federal lock up before Obama leaves the white house. I also do not think that there will be a pardon from the president.

I wish that someone would ask Mrs. Clinton what she would do, as president, to a subordinate who treated classified information as negligently as she did. It is a question that harms her either way she answers.

Anyway, I am always leery of leaked stories like this. It sets us up for a big bombshell, and when it doesn't happen, the press says conservatives (again) overreached. Still, seeing Hillary perp walked would result in me breaking out the good Scotch.

one does not simply say they’re running and get on ballots. Registration is ending for many states. Also the states themselves decide if a replacement is allowed as happened in NJ with Torrecelli. We have Republicans controlling many states and i find it hard to believe they will simply say sure. Put Biden or warren on the ballot. It would break down by party lines. This field they have today is what they’re going to war with.

What better way for the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist and traitor Obama to burnish a reputation as a “law enforcer” and “corruption fighter” than to put the Rapist and the Bribe-taker in jail before leaving office?

Assuming Obama doesn’t set off a genocidal EMP before “leaving” the White House.

"State Department leadership" Somebody's going to take the fall for Hilliary.

It would not surprise me to see EVERYONE in the Obungler administration get a blanket pardon, for all crimes, they have committed, and all those they will commit.

Hillary has higher stakes in this election that just the presidency. She’s fighting to stay out of jail.

“Somebody’s going to take the fall for Hilliary.”

That is what I thought, but it is starting to look like just too much.

I think that the security violations alone are too much to ignore, but now it seems to me that they have got some folks on obstruction of justice as well (felonies). When a few people are facing hard time, there will be some rats fleeing the sinking ship.

But beyond that, the content of the emails are no doubt consumed with the first priority and greatest love of the Clinton’s - cashing in on their public office.

Public corruption is the FBI’s job number one, and the Clintons, with billions under management, are arguably the biggest public corruption case in US history (in terms of dollars pocketed. They are the closest thing that the USA has to a Ferdinand Marcos.

Many cases of corruption having to be investigated, is the only thing that I can imagine that would employ 150 agents for an extended period of time. With each of these many corrupt deals, there are likely other apparatchiks involved who can be grilled for testimony, under threat of prosecution. How many will testify to save their butts and retirements? Likely many.

Unlike during the Clinton Administration, Hillary can not leverage all the power of the Executive Branch to marshall her defense and intimidate the witnesses. No army of Federally paid staffers or White House war room to coordinate them.

Only Obama can rescue her from a richly deserved downfall. It comes down to his whims, and political calculations.

Funny you say that. I saw a report today where Biden, Obama’s mouthpiece, was praising Sanders and dumping on Hillary.

I pray that you are right but I don’t see that happening. Obama will make sure of it through “professional courtesy” pardon. He doesn’t want to let the Clintons be jailed as part of his legacy.
