Clemson is Auburn with a lake.

Uh, no.

Pulling for Bama just because they are in the SEC, is like pulling for Satan just because he is in the Bible.

Conferences don’t win anything. Teams do.

I have to go with the evidence that Clemson might be the anti-Christ:

uh, no. As an LSU fan and ‘living’ in the SEC West, strength of schedule matters and winning the SEC usually gets your team to the Nat’l Championship.

8 outta the last 10 Nat’l Champs are from the SEC, they even ‘rearranged’ the BCS to try to eliminate this obvious reality IMHO.

Mainly, season long competition within the SEC does matter and he SEC has an incredible record versus non-conference foes.

Where is the University of SEC, or does it just become the largest online university after a national championship?

It was another LSU fan who sent me the Satan quote. His argument was that Bama winning makes everything for LSU harder. He said he never pulls for other SEC teams in bowls and such - the only benefit being some intangible “association.”

That was THE most well-executed on-side kick you will ever see.

I go one further and say the SEC West is especially tough. Going from the BCS to a Playoff system was supposed to fix the non-profit existent “bias” towards the SEC, particularly Alabama. Of course that didn’t work, because there isn’t one, now the same people are crying about the bias in the playoff system.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: The South is more passionate about football. Out stadiums typically seat 100,000. Not so anywhere else. We tailgate at our high school games. Where I live we have one high school in our county. Every Friday during football season all the businesses where Rebel garb such as all the different banks’ employees, Wal-Mart employees, pharmacies, etc. My son hasn’t played football for 2 years we still go to the football games. Most people do whether they have kids in school or not.

Football is just thought of differently here. That’s why we have better players, programs, etc. It is what it is. The SEC won the National Championship and went 9-2 in the Bowl Games.

Well I’m Bama all the way but I pull for other SEC teams unless it’s Tennessee. I will NEVER pull for TENNESSEE. I loathe Ohio State. But if they are playing Tennessee you will hear me yelling “Go Buckeyes!”

The South is more passionate about football.

You've never lived in Western Pennsylvania, or you would know the same applies there. But the pro team overshadows the local college teams (plus Pitt and PSU have had some issues lately).

Congrats on your win. Clemson man here.

What a great title game, best one in a decade.

Continual game of body blows by 2 heavyweight fighters. No cheap shots and penalties.
