Maine legislators to introduce impeachment bill Thursday
Portland Press Herald ^ | January 10 | Beth Quimby

Posted on 01/11/2016 9:33:28 AM PST by Bob434

Not sure about the press herald's policy for copywrite, so I'll just sum up here- Democrats in Maine are going after Gov Paul Lepage for 8 charges- mostly to do with what they call "abuse of power"- and for his comment a bit ago that out of state drug dealers were impregnating "Young White Girls" in Maine.

The are calling for a special house committee to investigate "allegations of misfeasance, malfeasance, nonfeasance and other misconduct"

Basically it boils down to the left being furious over Paul Lepage attempting to force welfare recipients to work for their food stamps

“Girlie men will find a way to get their way.”

Correction: “Scu*bags will find a way to get their way.”

IMHO

So let me make sure I have this right... using the IRS to target political enemies, leaving Americans to die on foreign soil in Benghazi, walking guns to Mexico to affect American Constitutional rights, sponsoring invasions, doubling the national debt are no big deal. Making welfare recipients work for their pay and insulting drug dealers are impeachable offenses.

Got it.

This is Democrats trying to impose political correctness on Governor LePage.

I hope there will be a huge backlash.

Last year, Gov. LePage called the Goodwill-Hinckley school and told them they should not hire dem Maine House speaker Mark Eves. They did not hire him. The governor was accused by the left of “illegal” behavior.

In Maine, many members of the Maine House and Maine Senate hold jobs outside of their elected positions.

Basically, the moonbat left here in Maine hate the very conservative republican governor.

They could not defeat him at the ballot box, so they will try any means to get rid of him anyhow, any way. The dems will not get their way.

Wow, did a “young white girl” orally copulate the Governor in the State Capitol Building or something?

I wasn’t aware that someone could be impeached for saying something. i thought they actually have to get caught breaking the law. Not surprising coming from the Left though.

There already is a huge backlash.

You should hear Maine talk radio. Conservatives are going ballistic.

There were two protests last week in Augusta, The capital of Maine.

Liberals and conservatives were carry signing and yelling at each other. The conservatives outnumbered the liberals 2 to 1.

Gov. Paul Le Page has hinted that he wants to run for the U.S. Senate in 2018 and challenge so-called independent Angus King.

Look for Dems in Michigan to try this in the wake of a water scandal in Flint.

(long story short....Flint is bankrupt, under state receivership. They were buying their drinking water from Detroit. The state told them to stop doing that and to re-open their own water treatment plant to save money. Flint River water is much more acidic than the Detroit water they had been buying. It started dissolving the lead out of old house supply lines and kids started turning-up with lead poisoning)

EEEEEEVIL Republican Austerity killing children and all that.

Political reform in the USA will be impossible as long as we have a political, soviet-style central planning central monetary authority (in our case, the Federal Reserve) which is able to keep the government afloat with printed, unbacked money and massive debt. The Fed is the foundation of progressive government.

Governor Paul Le Page is one of the reasons Maine now has Constitutional carry.

Le Page is the real deal. He would be presidential material, if he had a billion or two behind him.

Please see my post # 7.

This is nothing to do with the his drug dealers making “white” girls pregnant comment.

On the evening news here, they always show the booking photos of individuals who have been arrested.

Drug dealers from Brooklyn, NY....Bronx, NY....West Hartford, Conn......and New Haven Conn.....get arrested all the time, and aside for a few Puerto Ricans, the rest are all black.

Typical. In Texas, Leftards are suing former Gov. Perry for vetoing a bill.

July 4th - thanks for posting the in-Maine feedback re this. I wasn’t sure this Gov would fight the (no) charges against him, but sounds like it’s fueling his fight. Good. Go Maine!!

The easy solution is to add something like AquaMag to the treatment. I did that at the plant I ran for 30 years. Other benefits of that treatment include coating everything with a thin protective film. No rust, no lead, valves work better, etc..

The liberal’s new Modus operandi is “abuse of power”...which is so unclearly defined.

Same charges against Perry in Texas.

I like LePage, so I've followed this, a little. At worst, I think that his comments might have been a little ill-considered.

But he's been called a racist. And, called a bigot. Now he's being impeached for something called "Abuse of Power".

The only thing that I've not heard him called, is "Wrong".

Methinks that he hit a little close to the mark on this one.

Since Maine is 92% white, he made a very accurate statement.
