Exclusive: 1974 Canadian Electors’ List Named Ted Cruz’s Parents
Breitbart.com ^ | Jan. 8 2016 | Joel B. Pollak

Posted on 01/08/2016 6:00:09 PM PST by FR_addict

A document uncovered by Breitbart News indicates that the parents of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) were named on a Calgary list of electors for Canada's federal election of July 8, 1974. Ted Cruz parents are listed as Cruz, Eleanor, Mrs. nd Cruz, Raphael, self employed, both at 920 Riverdale Avenue, South West in Calgary, Alberta.

Canadian law restricts (and restricted) federal voting rights to Canadian citizens.

In a statement to Breitbart News—the full text of which follows this article—Jason Johnson, chief strategist for Cruz for President, said that “the document itself does not purport to be a list of ‘registered Canadian voters.’ All this might conceivably establish is that this list of individuals (maybe) lived at the given addresses. It says nothing about who was a citizen eligible to vote.”

Johnson added: Eleanor was never a citizen of Canada, and she could not have been under the facts or the law. In short, she did not live in Canada long enough to be a Canadian citizen by the time Cruz was born in 1970: Canadian law required 5 years of permanent residence, and she moved to Canada in December 1967—only 3 years before Senator Cruz’s birth. ...

Then WHY the specific term “Natural Born Citizen” and not simply the term “Citizen” as is used elsewhere? There MUST have been a difference to the founders, otherwise they would have not used it. Vattel is quoted in Franklin’s writings and after all, he was there for the creation of the constitution, a member representing his state. He received three copies of Vattel’s The Law of Nations. Vattel is cited in numerous Supreme court Decisions with reference to the meaning of Natural Born Citizen. He was considered THE EXPERT at the time on International Law, besides being a Diplomat and a Philosopher.
Remain ignorant of the constitution if you insist. I have given you several references. Do your own research.
I am tired of trying to explain FACTS to people who spout drivel in defense of their prize pig.

Actually, I wrote:

“When she was able to re-enter and resume life as a US citizen, and her son got a passport?”

YOU wrote: “If Cruz is a NBC, why would he need a pass port?”

Of course, the answer is he needed one to travel abroad. He got one no later than when he traveled abroad in high school. He MAY have used one when he first entered the US. I do not know. There are several ways a child born abroad to a US citizen can document the right for entry:

“You should report the birth of a child abroad (outside the United States) to establish US citizenship. The birth of a child abroad (or overseas) to a U.S. citizen parent(s) should be reported as soon as possible to the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate to establish an official record of the child’s claim to U.S. citizenship at birth. The official record is a Consular Report of Birth of a Citizen of the United States of America, or Form FS-240...

...If the child returns to the U.S. without a Form FS-240 being filed, an application may be made for a Certificate of Citizenship. Obtaining this certificate involves presentation of basically the same documentation required to obtain a Consular Report of Birth. Under law, the Consular Report of Birth and the Certificate of Citizenship are equally acceptable as proof of citizenship. File USCIS Form N-600 (Application for Certificate of Citizenship) with your nearest USCIS office.

A U.S. passport is also proof of citizenship. Click here for a list of the documentation needed to obtain a U.S. passport — you will need to apply in person to the nearest U.S. passport agency.”

“You are dead WRONG...according to the Constitution”

Then you will have no trouble citing the US Constitution, and where it requires two citizen parents. Feel free to do so.

CRUZ was NOT a Natural Born Citizen at birth. He is NOT eligible and neither is Rubio! Waste your time and your support on just another slick politician.

Yes, in addition to NBC there are also NATURALIZED citizens. Two types.

You also seem content to ignore that Vattel did NOT write about “natural born citizens”.

“Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 clearly states that a NBC is born of two American parents on American soil.”

No it does not state that. Here is what it says:

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

Wrong. “no person except a natural-born citizen, or a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of the Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President,”
Read it again, then again, then again. Do you see “A natural born citizen or a citizen .......”? Why are there two definitions of citizens? Why “ Natural born” instead of just “Citizen” if there was no difference. Obviously they were referring to the definition of Natural Born Citizen as explained by Vattel with whom they were all familiar, in his book the Law of Nations.

I don't believe a real conservative would personally take the lead to push TPA through the Congress.

And I don't believe a real conservative would publicly say he was very liberal on healthcare and call for universal healthcare.

I don't believe a conservative would vote to give obumer pre-aproval to make any deal he wanted with Iran with automatic full Congressional support.

And I don't think a conservative would rave about Obama, say what a great president Hillary would make, give large donations to Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid...

I don't believe a conservative would want to flood the country with foreign workers when over 25% of working age Americans are unemployed.

You mean like expediting the return of the people you just sent back? I also don't think a conservative brags about having a lot of illegals working for him, as Trump did.

Mine is a A True statement unless you know more about the constitutional convention than George Washington or Benjamin Franklin! You seem to believe your OPINION takes precedence over their writings.

but i've been told that his mothers birth certificate was enough to prove he was a citizen a birth.

Then you have nothing to worry about, right?

A long list of political propaganda rags. ALL of them on board with the RINO REGIME, otherwise known as the establishment. Get Cruz elected, then slam him with the ineligibility charge, and replace him with Bush or Rubio. Sooooooo EASY!

“Do you see “A natural born citizen or a citizen .......”? Why are there two definitions of citizens?”

As I’ve explained before, there are two types of citizens: NBC & naturalized. The US Constitution has a grandfather clause which allowed some naturalized citizens to become President. That clause literally died off with time.

“Obviously they were referring to the definition of Natural Born Citizen as explained by Vattel...”

Except, again, Vattel never wrote about natural born citizens. Ever. And no English translation used that phrase (incorrectly, since it was used to translate “indigene”, which is already an English word as well) until 10 ytears AFTER the US Constitution was adopted.

Someone cannot be referencing a translation that will not be made until 10 years in the future. Thus we can KNOW they were not referencing Vattel.

For example, note the dates on these, and how they used natural born subject and natural born citizen interchangeably:

“In February, 1785, the Massachusetts legislature passed “AN ACT FOR NATURALIZING NICHOLAS ROUSSELET AND GEORGE SMITH.” in which it was declared that Nicholas Rousselet and George Smith “shall be deemed, adjudged, and taken to be citizens of this Commonwealth, and entitled to all the liberties, rights and privileges of natural born citizens.”

In July, 1785, the Massachusetts legislature passed “AN ACT FOR NATURALIZING MICHAEL WALSH.” in which it was declared that Michael Walsh “shall be deemed, adjudged, and taken to be a citizen of this Commonwealth, and entitled to all the liberties, rights and privileges of a natural born citizen.”

In July, 1786, the Massachusetts legislature passed “AN ACT FOR NATURALIZING JONATHAN CURSON AND WILLIAM OLIVER” in which it was declared that Jonathan Curson and William Oliver “shall be deemed adjudged and taken to be free Citizens of this Commonwealth, and entitled to all the liberties, privileges and immunities of natural born citizens.”

In March, 1787, the Massachusetts legislature passed “AN ACT FOR NATURALIZING WILLIAM MARTIN AND OTHERS.” in which it was declared that William Martin and Others,”shall be deemed, adjudged and taken to be free Citizens of this Commonwealth, and entitled to all the liberties, privileges and immunities of natural born subjects.”

In March, 1787, the Massachusetts legislature passed “AN ACT FOR NATURALIZING EDWARD WYER AND OTHERS THEREIN NAMED.” in which it was declared that William Martin and Others,”shall be deemed, adjudged and taken, to be free Citizens of this Commonwealth, and entitled to all the liberties, privileges and immunities of natural born subjects.”

In October, 1787, the Massachusetts legislature passed “AN ACT FOR NATURALIZING BARTHOLOMY DE GREGOIRE, AND MARIA THERESA, HIS WIFE, AND THEIR CHILDREN.” in which it was declared that Bartholomy de Gregoire, and Maria Theresa, his wife, their children,”shall be deemed, adjudged and taken to be free Citizens of this Commonwealth, and entitled to all the liberties, rights and privileges of natural born citizens.”

In November, 1787, the Massachusetts legislature passed “AN ACT FOR NATURALIZING ALEXANDER MOORE, AND OTHERS, HEREIN NAMED.” in which it was declared that Alexander Moore and others,”shall be deemed, adjudged and taken to be free citizens of this Commonwealth, & entitled to all the privileges, liberties, and immunities of natural born subjects.”

In June, 1788, the Massachusetts legislature passed, “AN ACT FOR NATURALIZING WILLIAM MENZIES, AND OTHERS, THEREIN NAMED.” in which it was declared that William Menzies and others “shall be deemed, adjudged and taken to be free citizens of this Commonwealth, and intitled to all the liberties, privileges & immunities of natural born subjects.”

In November, 1788, the Massachusetts legislature passed, “AN ACT FOR NATURALIZING ELISHA BOURN, AND OTHERS, THEREIN NAMED.” in which it was declared that Elisha Bourn and others “shall be deemed, adjudged and taken to be free Citizens of this Commonwealth, & entitled to all the liberties, privileges & immunities of natural born Citizens.”

In February, 1789, the Massachusetts legislature passed, “AN ACT FOR NATURALIZING JAMES HUYMAN, AND OTHERS, THEREIN NAMED.” in which it was declared that James Huyman and others “shall be deemed, adjudged and taken to be free Citizens of this Commonwealth, and entitled to all the Liberties, Privileges and Immunities of natural born subjects.”

In June, 1789, the Massachusetts legislature passed, “AN ACT FOR NATURALIZING NATHANIEL SKINNER, AND OTHERS, THEREIN NAMED.” in which it was declared that Nathaniel Skinner and others “shall be deemed, adjudged and taken to be free citizens of this Commonwealth, and entitled to all the liberties, privileges and immunities of natural born subjects.”

In March, 1790, the Massachusetts legislature passed “AN ACT FOR NATURALIZING JOHN JARVIS, AND OTHERS, THEREIN NAMED” in which it was declared that John Jarvis and others, “shall be deemed adjudged and taken to be free citizens of this Commonwealth, and entitled to all the liberties, privileges and immunities of natural born subjects.”

Also in March, 1791, the Massachusetts legislature passed”AN ACT FOR NATURALIZING JOHN WHITE & OTHERS” in which it was declared that John White and others, “shall be deemed adjudged and taken, to be free citizens of this Commonwealth, and intitled to all the liberties, privileges, and immunities of natural born subjects.”

I think he should also release his records in Canada as well.

His birth certificate has been posted numerous times. What other Canadian records are you looking for?

Don’t you get it man? I provide solid examples of what I am talking about and respond with innuendo that is based on conjecture. If you don’t see that, I think you may be a candidate to end up in a Heavens Gate type club.

“You seem to believe your OPINION takes precedence over their writings.”

You seem terribly reluctant to post anything from their writings.

If anyone wants to read a good summary, pro and con, from a well written paper about the law, I suggest:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/74189147/November-14-2011-CRS-Report-Qualifications-for-President-and-the-Natural-Born-Citizenship-Eligibility-Requirement

Of course, it is not nearly as authoritative as Donald Trump’s farts, but it might bear more weight in court.
