A couple of GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson's top campaign aides have quit, and the doctor's poll numbers have fallen steadily since his sharp rise.
In other words, not good.
Here's what Carson says will make him drop out of the race altogether…

Dr. Ben Carson has set the perimeters for withdrawing from the race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination - saying he'll quit if he isn't one of the top three vote-getters in two of first four primary states.
The retired pediatric neurosurgeon, whose meteoric rise to the top of the GOP pack last fall took a dramatic fall in the past few weeks - told Newsmax TV's Steve Malzberg he must score in first, second or third place in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada, or he'll back out.
"You need to do well in two of the first four states. As that happens, it potentially becomes much clearer. [One of the] top three," Carson said.
"If it becomes apparent that it's not something that people are interested in, whenever something like that would happen, I would not ever be one of those people who's just there for the purpose of being there."
If you're a Carson supporter, it's not looking great at the moment.
Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio are poised to place in the top three in each of the early states, with probably little variation.
The polls were very favorable for the retired neurosurgeon in the past, but it's becoming more and more evident that he will not become the next Commander-in-Chief.
His mistake was not boning up on foreign policy a year ago.
That said, this is an honorable approach on his part

However, I believe this campaign was a pyramid scheme. He's made a lot of money off this campaign and anything in the coffers is his...for his favorite charity....which is his own charity.

I doubt it. His people want an outsider and they’re conservative. That leaves Cruz, Trump, or Fiorina.
Well, looking at RCP averages, Carson should pocket the campaign cash and leave now. He’s fourth or worse in all four states he mentions.

Why Fiorina?
Carson had a large group of female supporters, iirc.
The Carson campaign is over. The only thing that he could’ve done and should’ve done when it was clear that the terrorist attacks changed the game increasing focus on foreign policy and moving it from hypotheticals to personal was to bring in military expertise into his camp, generals etc. He needed to have high ranking military support to show off that they were there to provide competent counsel to him instead he appeared lost and that is never a good thing. I don’t see how Carson has any hope of success now. Its too late.
Drop out now and save your self the trouble.
