Ammon Bundy had a face to face meeting with Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward yesterday at a remote location away from the buildings Bundy and other militia members are occupying at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.
Residents of the county had asked the sheriff to go have a talk with the militia.
The sheriff asked the militia to leave and offered safe escort out but Ammon Bundy and his companion Ryan Payne wanted to talk with the sheriff about what brought them to the area, the federal government's takeover of Harney County's lands.
They said the sheriff was failing to address the issue which burns brightly now that the Hammond men are back in a federal prison to serve more time for their arson conviction.
Sheriff Ward said he "didn't come here to argue".....Ammon Bundy said "We're getting ignored again, Sir."
A poster here on FR described what's going on at the occupied buildings at the refuge.
"They have set up tables within the 'compound' and are talking with the locals, taking down their stories, and beginning to teach them what was done in Nevada to get Harry Reid's goons off their back (for now). They are re-introducing locals to the Constitution, letting them know that the Sheriff has every authority to tell the Feds and the BLM to get lost (which he won't), and they are setting up title tracing research teams to try and figure out which families have solid cases for having been thrown off their lands illegally or coercively..... People are scared in that county. This has been going on for 25-30 years and they are well aware of what's been going on, but had no idea on how to counter it. At first no one would speak on camera, but they are beginning to venture out more and more bravely......"
Recently a Committee of Safety was formed consisting of six Harney County residents.
While three of them want the militia to leave and have signed a letter asking them to do so, three others have refused to sign the letter.
Media reports suggesting that everyone in the county want the militia out are not accurate.
The Progressive Democrat MSM and the Republican Establishment RSM (RINOstream Media) both are dissing the militia presence at the refuge with the difference being that the GOPe types who posture as 'conservatives' are expressing their verbal support of the cause, while the liberal media demonize it.
The Democrats and Republicans want us all to have this great emotional fight over issues and elect them to office to keep spending more money, raising more taxes and increasing the power and reach of government.
I don't know if we need what's going on in Oregon, but by God we need something more than the fakery and sham scammery of politics.
In 1963 Dr. Martin Luther King broke things wide open on racial segregation with his controversial actions at Birmingham, using children as young and six and seven years old to march into the police lines.
That forced the Democrat politicians back then to stop saying nice words like the Republicans offer the Hammond family in Oregon today and do something.
I continue to pray, I continue to ponder.
May there be peace for all from the feds to the sheriff to the land owner to the militia etc. in this situation and God's richest blessings.
For now as "Oregon Live" reports: "Later (after meeting the sheriff) Bundy told reporters that the protestors won't leave until federal land in the county is turned over to residents to manage on their own".
Bingo
Nope, all we’ll hear from FR armchair generals is that the Bundys are in the absolute wrong and should do the following, between surrender and commit seppeku.
Because they spout how much they don’t fear government while they cower in their basements.
Is this still about Harry Reid trying to grab their land to sell to the Chinese for solar farms?
In one video, Ammon Bundy said that 100 (or so) ranches had been taken to create the refuge.
How many are under the gun elsewhere?
If you look, Harney county has a number of resources-gold, uranium, rare earths, natural gas...
Someone intends to make a lot of money here.
I’m not claiming to the know the right answer to this, but I see the wrong ones loud and clear.
There are trolls here for the Left, but there are also Republican Establishment trolls who want people to look to the “fatted calf” stamped “GOP” to save us from Obama, the same people who worked with Obama to set the nation on course to over 20 trillion dollars of debt by 2017.
The Republicans hoot, holler, make speeches, get dramatic about everything but let it happen anyway from the Iran nuclear deal (its good for business lifting those sanctions), Obamacare (bailout for the health care industry) where their mantra from the start was ‘repeal and replace’ meaning their own version of the same thing like Mitt Romney did in Massachusetts.
I support Ted Cruz, but I don’t worship him as a God or agree with him on everything.
If Cruz or Trump (the only candidates I could support) pick a RINO running mate, which I define as 95 percent of current elected Republicans like the 236 House members who supported Paul Ryan, I won’t support them.
Early on, this appeared to be confrontation solely for the sake of getting names in the news. This has a greater purpose.

That is the word here in S. Nevada.
The Hairy Reed’s hand-picked minion, Neil Kornze, is still large and in charge at the BLM.
Even in this age of instant communication it takes time for the whole story to see the light of day. If, as the result of this action playing out in Harney County, the two party syndicate is weakened and our Nation regains some power, I’ll be a happy man.
Not likely. The remaining ranch is completely surrounded by the wildlife refuge.
Far more likely this is about clearing the North American Wild ways corridor.
Additionally in Seattle, Portland, and San Fran single family housing is under attack. Stack&pack so the rewilding can happen.
Why should the Federal government own most of the Western states? National Parks and Forests yes, but BLM...hell no...
