Hi PaMom!

Haven’t heard anything. I heard you can develop an allergy to things you were not, previously, allergic to. Son was stung by bees when he was small and no problem. Then, when he’s 12 or 13, he gets stung and we had to rush him to the hospital! I wonder what Mrs. p6 ate that she had the reaction to? I hope all is well!

Sorry if I didn’t include everyone in the recipients box.

Things OK but very hectic today!

Mrs p6 is most likely fine. Been resting ...as much as she will...and watching crochet on YouTube, LOL.

It was a late night yesterday. Bottom line it’s been narrowed to something that came in the mail at work, doubtful because so far no one else is sick or something vshe ate or touched.

She kept insisting she didn’t eat anything except some of my Jambalaya, Zataran’s, and a bagel.

After a lot of questioning she admits going to Aldi’s and looking for produce.

Best bet now is a bug bite from something from produce from Honduras or maybe pink lady apples from South America.

Only problem no bug bite visible but she gets a complete going over on Tuesday. Meanwhile we’re waiting to hear if anyone else from her work is showing symptoms.

We can’t express how much we appreciate everyone’s prayers!!!!

It didn’t look good for awhile but now she’s good.

Thank you all!!!!

Interesting aside. Youngest son had to get me and take me to the hospital. She had to leave the truck when the ambulance took her to emergency. I had been making myself dinner and was frying some red cabbage. After a few hours at the hospital I couldn’t remember if I had tried the gas off under the oil!!

We tried calling friends but no answer. From the hospital we could see flashing red lights near where we live. Son and I had to rush back and there werecemergency vehicles about a Bloch away but I hadn’t turned the gas on so. It turned out OK!

Thanks again to all for the prayers!!!!!

Still keeping you all in prayers! So glad to learn things are well! Been checking all day from phone. Will check back for updates!

If Mrs P6 wants to learn some cool “new” crocheting have her look for Tunisian crochet, there is British lady they does youtubes and is calm and funny and a delight to watch!. And the longer hooks are for sale at WalMart.

Thanks for the update! Poor Mrs p6! Funny, several weeks ago, Mr S bought some snow peas from Aldi for a stir fry he was making. I got really sick for a few days - stomach hurt like the dickens. I though it might be gall bladder at first, but I had some other symptoms that were worrying - uh, lets just say ‘bathroom related’. Took about two weeks for things to get back to normal! I have wondered if it was those snow peas. They seemed a tad strange. Hard to explain.

Tell Mrs p6 we’re all thinking about her and hoping for a full recovery - and some answers!!!

Correction; Mr s says the snow peas were from Walmart - and pointed out that no one else got sick.

I hope you see this...just giving you a tad of info I remembered (from a former co-worker who had even more allergies than I do).

Strange question, but are Mrs P6s hands chapped (you said she handled fruit at Aldis). A former do-worker almost had to have her wedding band cut off because she handled “something” (pool chemical product?) that caused a full blown allergic reaction because her hands were very chapped and and chapped hands are like thousands of entry point for allergens and bacteria.

Just wanted to mention that.

Thanks! She claims it started in her armpits. Them quickly spread with huge red hives on her arms then all over. Her work made her go to a UPMC medical treatment center in the next building. She drove the hundred feet or so because it was so close to 5PM. A manager went with her.

As they went in things became severe with swelling, breathing and other problems. That is when they rushed her to Ohio Valley Hospital.

Now the best part. She has been slow in providing details about what she ate, touched and such. Then late last night she told me her big toe hurt and she took an Ibuprofen.

She pops them like candy!

I am now convinced she had an Ibuprfen reaction! Her doctor will decide Tuesday but it wouldn’t surprise me. We just have to wait and see.

MEANWHILE the PA Farm Show is underway! PCN carries it live if you can get that channel. There are netcasts as well but IIRC you have to pay for them.
