Fortress Scandinavia sinks into blame game over refugee crisis

OPENHAGEN - Gliding high above the Baltic Sea under pylons that stretch 669-feet into the air, the daily commute across Europe's longest rail and road link was once a symbol of integration in the region.

But for many of the 15,000 people who commute daily across the Oeresund Bridge between Malmoe, Sweden's third-largest city, and Copenhagen, the trip to work and back just became a lot more difficult. On Monday, Sweden imposed identification checks on people seeking to enter by road, rail or ferry after the country was overwhelmed by a record influx of refugees.

The development "doesn't fit with anyone's vision for the Oeresund region," Ole Stavad, a former Social Democrat minister once in charge of Nordic cooperation, said in an interview. "This isn't just about Oeresund, Copenhagen, Malmoe or Scania. It's about all of Sweden and Denmark." He predicts economic pain for both countries "unless this issue is resolved."

If not even Sweden and Denmark can get along, that doesn't bode well for the rest of Europe, which is now grappling with the ever-present threat of terrorism, a groundswell in nationalism and sclerotic economic growth.

And the ripple effects are already starting. Twelve hours after the Swedish controls came into force, Denmark introduced spot checks on its border with Germany, threatening the passport-free travel zone known as Schengen. The move, which has yet to be approved by Schengen's guardian, the European Union, has not pleased Berlin.

They thought that Anders guy was crazy in Norway. Maybe he was crazy, maybe the future he could see made him crazy.

Anders was mentally sick for sure, but one has to wonder how much a constant diet of contradictory PC bull crap contributed to his eventual break and rampage?

I worked in Norway for several years in the late 70s and early 80s. I did not lock my doors to my house nor my car. Crime was the last thing on my mind. When it came to crime and rape it was rare and without exception was due to someone that was quite mentally deranged or a drug addict and those were few.

With the advent of Muslims this has changed and it is a very evil change.

Norway, Sweden and Denmark must wake up to the reality that they have invited a Muslim philosophy that will destroy them. I pray they come to their senses least they lose beautiful nations to the horde.

Oddly enough I have also live in Muslim Nations that applied strict Sharia and this did not happen in relation to crime and rape. They would lose their hands or life dependent on the crime. This actually worked. The real problem is Muslims in our culture that do not have the same limitations of harsh and swift justice also combined with a culture that sees our women as legitimate target due to there freedom and dress. In their culture they would never see women as we see them in the West. Thus in their eyes they are nothing but whores.

“They thought that Anders guy was crazy in Norway. Maybe he was crazy, maybe the future he could see made him crazy.”

Actually their Hate Crime laws are used to PREVENT civil discourse over ‘sensitive’ issues, one of them being immigration, of course. So if you say that you want to halt immigration because Muslims tend to not respect the Nordic culture and they tend to be violent, you are simply jailed, and/or run out of public office.

Given that, some people will still want to get their message across and they figure that since their lives will be ruined anyway, then do it in a way that people will notice.

Just makes me LOVE our Founding Fathers for the First Amendment, and our ability to debate immigration policy openly, even if the GOPe really wants to silence us.
