The last time I was on a Greyhound I took it from Hartford to Old Orchard Beach, Maine (I was 16, just before my drivers license days.). I had to change buses in Boston, so I was reading my National Review while waiting. This guy...told me I shouldn't be reading that trash because it is hateful. I looked at the magazine he was reading, then I moved from him...(he was reading trash, a gay magazine. I saw the front cover...)
How homophobic of me...
I'll leave the driving to me.

My friend who can’t drive (vision problems) had to go from Tampa to NY City...she took a Chinese bus company...she was the only Anglo on the bus. She said never again, she’ll take Amtrak.

You haven't ridden a bus, until you've taken the bus from Olongapo to Angeles City in the Philippines. Oh hell yes. I decided to see the countryside after a transfer off a ship and took a jeepney to Clark AFB. Hooyah!
Awesome trip. At a waypoint I had the best lumpia I've ever had and a couple of icy San Miguels. I do believe it's a waypoint to Heaven.

I have found from experience that the one thing that is certain to keep you awake far longer than anything else is almost getting into an accident because you were drowsy.
Matter of fact, last time I did that nearly forty years ago, it still keeps me awake when driving today.

That and remembering accidents you hear in the news where a whole family was killed because the driver drifted off to sleep.
One I heard of the husband fell asleep and he was the only survivor. I often think of the pain he must be experiencing.
