Very reasonable assessment, but I have a few minor disagreements. One is that I have noticed and documented in Trump a reflex to go with a conventional liberal talking point on some things....and I'd say that the people Trump's comments are aimed at are NOT GONNA VOTE FOR ANYONE BUT A DEMOCRAT anyway - thus this is a distraction that the liberal media LOVES! Anything that the liberal media LOVES does not belong in a Republican primary season. Period.
Levin is missing the point. Its not what he or anybody else opines on it since the USSC has not ruled on it YET. The problem is if Cruz is nominated the Dem/GOPe cartel WILL use the still being contested issue to contest Cruz’s Eligibility, and will do so late in the Game (October Surprise) and use their liberal judges to tie up his taking office if elected for possibly years. Or, they can try to strike him after the election forcing either the Dem or the Kenyan into office.
And if anybody thinks they will not at least try this, they have not been paying attention.
The ONLY way to prevent this potential mess is for Cruz to get a declaratory judgment ending the issue.
Until then, all the opinions by talking heads is meaningless.
I’m not a professional journalist...I’m a commentator, columnist and author. And more concerned with the truth than your notion of proper comportment.....on this forum.....which you totally mischaracterized out of ignorance or dishonesty...
Give me a clue.
WOW you are the first I have heard make that distinction. Good for you there is a distinct difference between supporters and zealots on both sides of the Cruz/Trump debate.
Trumpbots are still in bed.
The argument was that by statute, Stanley was too young to confer citizenship to a child. Dumb law, and maybe even an unconstitutional law, but it was on the books nonetheless. It certainly wasn’t wrth perusing, because over the overwhelming evidence that he was born in Hawaii which would make that line of argument moot. Levin also loses me on this standing issue. As a citizen, I should have standing to question such things.
The democrats started attacking cruz on this issue before trump was asked about it

Trump is right that the democrats will hammer this issue and Cruz has to settle it, i mean you dont think hillary and the liberal media will not try to crucify cruz on this ?
Well whatever you consider yourself, you should be embarrassed with the way you act and conduct yourself on this forum.
Heâs a friend of mine. I have great respect for himâ¦. certainly itâs a stumbling block and heâs going to have to have it solved before he goes too far,â
This is what trump said , hes saying democrats will use this against Cruz and hell they already started before he said this
And what makes you think that those same lib judges would give Cruz a favorable "declaratory judgment," especially after they get calls from ValJarr, Hatch, Roberts, etc...?
Can of worms that does NOT need to be opened. Period.
The “sealed” records have been discussed to nausea in the last days. Apparently only Cruz can release release his records from Canada and INS, but then you knew that. I hope he does so to shut people up as I fully believe there is nothing of consequence there and hope we can move on.
Most FReepers, even when in a disagreement are enjoyable to interact with.
You on the contrary are quite the opposite.

If it bothers you a lot, don’t respond and interact directly. You have many options
to make your points without direct response, etc. Heck you can even not read a posters writings,
just skip over and move along.
If on the other hand you choose to interact then you get what you get. That’s life.
I believe Cruz has "unsealed" all the relevant materials, save for evidence or a statement that his mother was a US citizen at the time of Ted's birth, and that fact is in the nature of proving a negative.
I don't think Cruz is a NBC, because one has to apply US statutory law to find him a citizen. Absent US statutory law, his citizenship would be Canadian. By application of statutory law (assuming his mother was a US citizen at the time of his birth), he is considered to be a US Citizen.
My opinion doesn't have any bearing on the issue, any more than my opinion has bearing on the fact that homosexuals have a constitutional right to single sex marriage.

btw He was born in Canada. His mother is American citizen. What do you need to see?
It may not “need” to be opened but it WILL be opened if hes the Nominee. Best to get it out of the way now.
now we’ve heard from the concern troll......more worried about me than the issues at hand. Dude, I’m not even more worried about me than the issues...the truth.
Your concern is noted.
Cruz needs to resolve this issue so we can move on to real issues. Whatever that takes.
