I can appreciate that - I think what put me in his camp is his instincts are right.

I do not know how long I and many have said John McCain is bad dude. Did Trump said it the right way - it did not seem like it at the time but largely it has silenced the chicken hawk wing of the GOPe.

FWIW, (and, admittedly...it may not be much), Ryan told Bret Baier last night the budget bill was a "done deal" when he assumed the Speakership, and that reconciliation was the only current means of killing Obamacare and PP funding, and that's why it was done now.

What lends some credibility to his argument, IMO, is how the MSM is completely ignoring the move and ensuing presidential veto.

As speaker he could have dismantled any deal that had not yet gone to Obama. Ryan is as much the serial liar as his presidential running mate. Which is why he was Romney’s running mate.
