Following his executive actions this week, President Obama will participate in what CNN is calling a "town hall" style discussion about gun control at George Mason University tomorrow night. The one hour show will be hosted by CNN anchor Anderson Cooper and airs live at 8 p.m eastern.
But according to a memo sent to faculty and students by GMU Communications and Marketing Vice President Renell Wynn earlier this week, participation in the town hall is by invite only. There are no tickets available to people who are not specifically invited to the event.
"This is an invitation-only event. No tickets are available," the memo states. "The event is not open to the public."

Completely shocked that they would politicize something like this.

Oh, it’s a Tammany Town hall...
It would be worth it for an organization like the NRA to do the exact opposite: create a forum solely for gun liberty, with only gun liberty advocates involved. Then offer live feeds to any competitor of CNN that wants it.
And see who gets better ratings.
“The event is not open to the public.”
That describes the problem with the overall situation in Washington DC.
I’m sure CNN and the rest of the media will say this was a town hall with ordinary citizens, meeting the president to discuss a pressing issue, yadda yadda yadda.
But the pres will be there make some comments, and hear from fellow liberals about guns. Only liberal opinions will be aired in this so called town hall .
Dancing in fresh blood can be tricky.
They don’t want just anybody there, someone might “slip” and get hurt.
The greatest open administration, gets to pick who can and who can’t? I know, its a matter of security, that is the response you will get.
Why would anyone believe the Counterfeit in Chief would conduct an open forum on anything.
Who’s up for a little NRA Rally on the campus of George Mason tomorrow evening?
Most excellent idear.
Liberal opinions and one or two sham “conservatives” to be displayed as fools or extremists.
Staged Stalinism

It’s not a townhall. It’s the mediaPAC making another contribution to the DNC.
Agenda 21 - made for TV.
Warning to Republicans: Do NOT agree to any debates on CNN, MSNBC, or any other DNC HACK network.
Townhall? LOL
More like ‘Liberal Elite Suck-ups Hall...
CNN’s an embarrassment ... even in a profession where most are considered dishonest and untrustworthy...
George Mason was among several delegates to the Constitutional Convention who refused to sign the document because, at that point, it lacked the Bill of Rights.
Why GMU is hosting this is beyond me.
Phony town hall, phony tears, phony president.
