CARCAS-Veneuzuela' opposition coalition called on its supporters to march to the National Assembly on Tuesday morning to uphold the swearing-in of the country's first opposition-dominated legislature in 16 years, setting a stage for a showdown with the socialist government of Nicolas Maduro. Mr. Maduro, who has characterized the opposition victory in December's midterm elections as a counterrevolution and coup, has asked his supporters to hold their own rally in the same area an hour earlier "to defend the achievements of the Revolution." "This will be a very unpredictable situation that could turn violent," said David Smilde, a Venezuela expert at Tulane University......

The regime closed the CSPAN type network that would normally broadcast sessions of the assembly set to take office tomorrow.
Both sides are supposed to be on the streets tomorrow meaning a confrontation is likely.

This could get ugly very fast. We may see a coup in Venezuela that kills off the last vestiges of democracy.
If Maduro stages the coup. On the other hand the legislative branch may ask that the likes of Pinochet steps in.
It will be something to watch tomorrow as events unfold.

Maduro at first played it cool when he lost the December 6th election, he’s ratcheted up things since including taking action to use his courts to unseat opposition members who won the elections.
He closed down the CSPAN type television network that covers the assembly.
Now he’s keeping the new assembly president out of his offices and wants his supporters on the streets an hour before the new opposition dominated assembly is sworn in tomorrow.

Or a coup with the opposite objective and effect. Communism and socialism will always lose in the end. Always. They are mortally flawed in that they eschew self-determinism and individual freedom. Human beings were never meant to live in a hierarchy like bees, and this is precisely what communism and socialism push for. Yes, they shroud themselves in the cloak of ‘equality’, but the only equality they truly support is equality amongst the ‘worker drones’. Never support any political system that doesn’t allow you to determine your own socioeconomic class on the basis of your dreams, ambition, creativity and efforts.
The situation in Venezuela is already pretty ugly, with the prospects of a smooth transition to the duly elected new government unlikely. The failure of the Maduro regime to transfer power in an orderly manner serves to demonstrate the lawlessness of that criminal government.
The Communists are incorrectly calling the legal and proper election of a new legislature a "counterrevolution." It was NOT!
Are we to expect a similar reaction when the US elects a new government in November? After all, there are many similarities between the socialist government of Nicolas Maduro and the Obama regime.

To the Communist mind, no rollback of socialism can ever be legitimate or tolerated. They will NOT go quietly.
