Other activists say there's a sense that, while it's Mrs. Clinton's turn to run, there's no swell of on-the-ground enthusiasm for her to carry the party's banner... Understatement of the year... maybe of the decade...

I think she's toast. Stop thinking that. This will be a very close election, regardless of who we end up nominating.
We ran a terrible candidate last time, and even then we should have won.
The DNC is just much better at organizing and getting the vote out than we are at this point.

There is no comparison between this campaign and the 2012 campaign. We were lost about halfway through the GOP nomination process when the GOPe had complete control. GOPe control = sure defeat.
Yes, SHE’S TOAST. Of course you have to go out and play the game and play to win, but that should not be a problem with Trump. As Geico says, THAT’S WHAT HE DOES.

You know what a winning team does?
First, they BELIEVE in themselves. Got that with Trump. Check.
Next they realistically assess their own strengths and weaknesses. I think we have that with Trump. Check.
Next, they scope out the other team’s strengths and weakness and look to exploit their weaknesses. Got that with Trump. Check.
Next, you respect the other team but you’re never afraid of them. Got that with Trump. Check.
Next, you play to win - NEVER play to not lose. Got that with Trump. Check.
If Hillary’s not toast, she and her DNC are feeling the heat pretty good. Cocky, no. Confident, yes.
What I would pay to see Bill and Hillary flame out. Would do my heart good.

For blacks, I think it would be less about crossing parties to vote for Trump than it would be about not getting inspired to vote for Hillary.
I suppose Obama could try to pull a "Win one for the Gipper" speech to help Hillary out. I think he would rather Hillary win without his help than lose with it. The latter would tarnish his legacy.

True, but it's "her turn" and these young folks are going to learn a painful lesson about DNC power politics. It really doesn't matter who they support. Hillary will be coronated on schedule. That game has already been rigged.
The RNC was poised to do the same with Jeb, but Trump is upsetting a lot of apple carts this cycle.

He’s a loudmouthed jackass who hates the US. It’s not surprising he’d support Bernie Sanders.
