Why is the over-the-counter sale of hypodermic needles illegal? It makes life more difficult for diabetics and other people that require injectable medicine.

The ban was put in place to protect drug abusers from themselves. And now it apparently just makes things worse for them as well.

Government paternalism in action.

The common sense libertarian solution is to make heroin legal everywhere. Get heroin free with your Obama Care. Get it free with your food stamps. Free heroin everywhere.

Exactly the problem. And, daddy government is the champion of suffering unintended consequences like footing the $500K heart surgery bill for junkies.

I that a state law? I buy two every spring. One for inflating the wifes strawberries with vodka and the other for the tackle box to inflate worms with air.
