Chart-topping R&B singer Natalie Cole, who followed her legendary father into the music business with hits like "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" and "Unforgettable," died at age 65.

"Natalie Cole, sister beloved & of substance and sound. May her soul rest in peace," tweeted the Rev. Jesse Jackson on New Year's Day.

Cole, who had struggled with a variety of health issues in recent years, died Thursday night, according to publicist Maureen O'Connor. The cause of death was reportedly congestive heart failure.

Too young.

A pretty good career for the daughter of an all time great.

Why does this report gave to put a bad taste in the mouth by mentioning Jackson in the second paragraph?

I can almost understand the fascination that obscenely rich showbiz types have with multi-million dollar mansions and 100ft yachts but *not* their fascination with drugs.

Nat King Cole was great!

He once had a 15 minute TV show...yup, actually 15 minutes.

It was cancelled after no company would advertise on the show...SAD :-(

RIP, Natalie.

It’s accumulative. Some things damage more while others damage less. His amnesty stand was the worst. Also, he is not a natural born citizen, which should disqualify him.

Been listening to “Unforgettable” on YouTube. Great duet with her dad. Couldn’t get over the headline since I never thought of her as an R&B singer. Pop, jazz better describes her to me.

Was not the movie, Cat Ballou, made before she became Hanoi Jane?

Lee Marvin did a superb job in that movie!!

Yeah, C-B was in ‘65, but she was crazier than a pet coon long before that.

Priceless!! Also, when the gunfighter comes off the stagecoach and Fonda thinks that is who they hired.
Marvin is drunk in the rear of the coach.
