Considering his historical positions, no surprise at all.

Its Cruz #1, Trump #2.
Anyone else and I’ll sit the election out.

I’ve ran into a few Democrats from Union Construction that are all for him.

He has all the right enemies and a wishy washy political past. If the GOP wasn’t so bad, spending us in to oblivion, then maybe I’d look somewhere else. But it’s all about a soft revolution for me. Up yours elites!
And screw you YEB! You will not win. I voted for your brother TWICE and defended him to the end of his last term.
To: Kaslin
I’ve talked to lifelong Rip Van Winkle ‘rats who are voting for Trump (if he gets the nod) rather than Hillaryous.

Most registered republicans are moderates. Conservatives have been moving to the independent column since the Bush years.
This analysis is flawed.
To: Kaslin
At one time the GOP wanted a “big “tent”...not so much now that Trump is building it.

If Trump had run as a Democrat then Hillary would be polling at 4% instead of Yeb.

What could Democrats possibly see in a lifelong true conservative like Donald Trump? People do change and grow, but the evidence does not support that assertion.

Not odd at all. He's a sleeper, groomed and ready. He'll reveal his real positions, when there's a Democrat majority in Congress.
And that's what to watch out for. No matter what, keep the majority in Congress Republican. Your choices in presidential candidates have been provided and regulated with a big push by the following. Their influence in both political parties is enormous, and they're fat with government incomes to support their efforts.

To be fair there are a number of anti-amnesty democrats who are unhappy about our borders and the settling of Syrian refugees.
It makes sense that a celebrity like Trump would appeal to them.

I classify Trump as a Moderate Nationalist Chainsaw.
Frankly, this is what I think we need at this point in history.
Saying he isn't perfect is saying a chainsaw isn't a finishing saw. Different tools for different jobs.
We have a very big job ahead of us. There's time for finishing the details later

How many times do I have to say it. Trump is no conservative. It’s why he’ll win if he gets the nomination. Plenty of support from the middle and the left.
Conservatives that are twitterpated with him are like the 19 year old kid that falls for a beautiful pole dancer and wants to marry her.
It will probably not survive much past the honeymoon.

Not surprised. I do not doubt many of those who see themselves as democRats find themselves disenfranchised or disregarded. Hopefully, among them are those who have wised up and become more conservative; but I won’t hold my breath.
