No kidding - to put a pool stick up there and break it is just torture. I bet the guy was bleeding out inside and that's why he collapsed the next day. I cannot imagine the pain he endured.
I think he's from a single parent home, and this obviously affects the parent's job, student's studies, etc. So unnecessary.
