No, it doesn’t. What he is saying is that, Yes, he’s Christian and religious. He does not wear it like a badge, does not preach. I respect that more than the holier than thou types. Only idiots split hairs and argue if someone is religious enough, then, as hypocrites, complain when Trump pulls out his Bible.
