Conservatives in Paul Ryan's district: if he makes it through a primary, VOTE FOR THE DEMOCRAT

Posted on 12/29/2015 4:01:39 PM PST by cotton1706

The time has come for desperate measures against the Oligarchy.

There are already rumblings of a primary challenge to Speaker Paul Ryan!

However, we know the Establishment and its donors will go all out to protect Ryan, as they did for Mitch McConnell, who is now safely ensconced in the Senate Majority Leader position.

The Establishment will work to destroy anybody to dares to run against Ryan in a primary. And then they will say "too bad, republicans, it's Ryan or the democrat."

The Establishment can protect Paul Ryan from conservatives in a primary, but they cannot protect Paul Ryan from conservatives in a general election! (unless they can convince their buddies, the democrats, to allow Ryan to run unopposed, which isn't likely)

Therefore, the conservatives in Paul Ryan's district can do the nation a service by voting against him next November if he's on the ballot, and not just by withholding their votes, but by actively voting for the democrat.

Even if not defeated, Paul Ryan will be significantly weakened in his position, prompting others to rise up and run for speaker in January, 2017.

We must do all we can, and only the conservatives in Paul Ryan's district can do it.

And before I am accused of being a shill for the democrats, I ask that you think about all the Establishment donors who said that if Trump or Cruz is the Republican nominee, that they will vote for Hillary.

I ask that you think about John Warner endorsing Tim Kaine, or Richard Lugar endorsing Michelle Nunn, or Dede Scozzafava endorsing Bill Owens, or Bill Bolling endorsing David McCauliffe, or the republican legislators who endorsed Sam Brownback's opponent in Kansas last year. And on, and on.

That’s a pretty stupid question. Elect 400 democrats and find out. Just let me flee the country first.

I supported folks staying home the last time McConnell ran.

I'll support the same if Ryan is the nominee.

What you are witnessing is a complete failure of the Duck Principle. I'll explain:

If it walks like a Duck and talks like a Duck it is supposed to be a Duck. That same principle should apply to Republicans. Unfortunately in some cases it fails. For example:

If Paul Ryan walks like a Democrat and talks like a Democrat then he should be a Democrat.

But he's not. He calls himself a Republican. He runs for office as a Republican. And he is not a Duck. at least I don't think so. I realize this is all very confusing but that's life.

For one thing, no one is saying elect 400 rats.

They are saying elect 1 rat in one district if Ryan survives the primary.
One rat will not do near the damage Ryan is already doing.

I wouldn’t go that far, Paul Ryan just took the job, it is far too early to condemn him for one bad deal.

Its true we need the house and senate to make a stand and force the white house to either deal on their terms or not deal at all. But throwing Paul out for having failed to do that in the first year is ridiculously unfair.

Paul needs time to figure out who’s among our ranks is going to stab him in the back.

No gun control was passed,

The NRA was still a big factor to the Dems. Don't fool yourself. They are going for an assault weapons ban. They had it before in 1994 and would get it again. I don't really worry that much about all the BS the GOPe does as long as my bill of rights is protected. The 2nd amendment is our final vote.
