Judging by Nicolle Wallace's performance on today's With All Due Respect, it looks like establishment Republicans are going full bore against Ted Cruz. Here was Wallace talking about her personal experience with Ted Cruz: "I worked with him on the [2000 Bush/Gore] recount in Florida, and the recount was sort of ground zero for the biggest egos in both parties in the whole country, and he rose to the top in terms of hubris and egomania."
Co-host John Heilemann was flabbergasted: "you're saying that among all of your colleagues in the recount effort, that he was the biggest ego? Is that really what I heard you say? Wow! That is an incredible thing to say."

I think the GOP establishment types are having great difficulty handling a situation where there are too many “targets for their fire”. If they focus on Cruz, they have to take the focus off of Trump. If they focus on Trump, they’ve taken the focus off of Cruz.
It will be SO SWEET if things continue as they have been going. Trump and Cruz get an increasing percentage of the (polled) vote preference and the establishment candidates get a shrinking percentage. It’s been going that way for some time now leaving the GOPe completely flummoxed. And I do so enjoy seeing them flummoxed and throwing off spittle as they babble away.
Probably pissed because he didn’t let the Demonrats run all over him.
