The deputy director of the ACLU of Michigan said in an op-ed Monday that she refuses to condemn radical Islamic terrorism in order to prove her allegiance to the United States.

Rana Elmir wrote that she's "consistently and aggressively asked" to condemn Islamic terrorism, and is tired of having her religious views linked to atrocities like the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, and in Paris and San Bernardino this year.

"I emphatically refuse," she wrote in an opinion piece in The Washington Post.

The op-ed was titled: "Stop asking me to condemn terrorists just because I'm Muslim."

Islam has encoded in its teachings- murder, lying, plunder, slavery, rape, warfare, and even terrorism as part of its official religious doctrine. Any Christian would have zero issues condemning anyone committing atrocities and claiming they are doing it under the principles of Christianity! Muslims unable to do this are part of the problem.

interestingly, if other episodes of terror / violence were done by the perps in the name of Christianity, I think it would be fair game for pagans to look at us, and say, “won’t you condemn these things?”.

And we would, of course, and we would also explain - clearly - why these things (in my hypothetical) done in the name of Christianity are actually anathema to the faith, and we would work that much harder to explain the true faith anywhere/everywhere.

The problem is, jihad is what Islam is and what Islam does. And the “terrorists” are simply jihadists, who are more obedient than their squishy co-religionists.
