Couch and his 48-year-old mother disappeared earlier this month, prompting officials in Tarrant County, Texas, to issue a warrant for his arrest... Tarrant County Sheriff Dee Anderson said that when the Couches arrive back in the United States, the young man will appear in juvenile court and his mother will be arrested. The sheriff told a news conference that the two had had a going-away party before leaving the United States... The two were captured at the crossing of two streets near the popular Malecon, or boardwalk, in Puerto Vallarta. A police booking picture from Mexico showed the previously blond Ethan Couch with dark hair. Mexican authorities said they had been working with the U.S. Marshals Service since Saturday to locate Couch and his mother. Police handed the pair over to Mexican immigration authorities for being in the country without the proper permission so they could be returned to the United States, the Jalisco attorney general's office said.

Had a going away party and dyed his hair. Seems little affluenza and his mommy still haven't learned their lesson. Can't believe this 18 year old adult will be returned to juvenile court but that's where the original case was tried. Sadly, he'll likely serve less time than mama. Hope dad gets time because he had to have been in on it.

But he has too much money to be held accountable for his actions!

If the family of the victims made something bad happen to this creep, I’d be in favor of jury nullification.

"They even had something that was almost akin to a going-away party before they left town."

I imagine the welcome home party isn't going to be as much fun.

He got off the original crime with a tiny slap on the wrist, and he couldn’t even abide by the terms of his probation. I’ve no pity for the bastard.

Don't be so sure. He'll probably have more canteen money in his account than the most successful drug dealer. At least the endless chips he can buy will help keep his mind off of things.

If Couch were transferred into the adult court system, he could face 120 days in jail for fleeing and up to 40 years in prison if he violated probation again, Wilson said.

How much is he facing for the probation violation he just committed?

The parents sound like real pieces of, er, work....

From wiki....

Ethan’s father, Frederick Anthony “Fred” Couch, owns Cleburne Sheet Metal[9] in Fort Worth, which has approximately thirty employees and yearly sales estimated at $15 million.[10] His mother is Tonya Lennett (Pope) Couch. Ethan’s parents were married in Johnson County, Texas in 1996 and divorced in 2007.[10] Ethan grew up in Burleson and previously attended Anderson Private School.[11]

Ethan Couch drove himself to school at the age of 13, and when the head of the school questioned it, Fred Couch threatened to buy the school. When he was 13, Ethan Couch was cited for “minor in consumption of alcohol” and “minor in possession of alcohol,” after he was caught in a parked pick-up truck with a naked, passed out 14-year-old girl.[12] He pleaded no contest and was sentenced to probation, a compulsory alcohol awareness class, and 12 hours of community service.[13]

Family history[edit]
Fred and Tonya have each had their own run-ins with the law, publicized retrospectively in the media following their son’s conviction.[10] Fred Couch has been charged with criminal mischief, theft by check, and assault, but the charges were dismissed. On August 19, 2014, he was arrested for impersonating a police officer, allegedly displaying a fake badge during a disturbance call.[12][14] In 2013, Tonya Couch was sentenced to a $500 fine and a six-month community supervision order for reckless driving when she used her vehicle to force another motorist off the road.[10][15]

Guess mommy isn’t as wealthy as we thought. Can’t even pay off the officials in Mexico to let them ‘escape’.
