A mall in Louisville, Kentucky, reopened this morning after over 1,000 teens loitering, fighting and refusing to leave businesses forced the shopping center to shut down Saturday night, police said.
Around 7 p.m., police started to receive disturbance calls from the Mall St. Mathews regarding "juveniles who were loitering, refusing to leave businesses, fights, those kinds of things," St. Matthews Police spokesman Dennis McDonald told ABC News today.
McDonald said the department always stations an extra police presence at the mall during the holidays, and there were six officers at the mall Saturday assigned to help mall security.
"As they responded, those calls continued to mount up and they could not handle the volume of calls that they were receiving," he said.
The incidents involved between 1,000 and 2,000 teens, McDonald said. Calls continued to pour in, so police requested assistance from neighboring agencies.

American has a new Christmas tradition: Black mob violence at malls.
In the days before, during, and after Christmas, 15 malls reported large-scale episodes of rioting, shooting, looting, rampaging, fighting, throwing rocks at police, damaging cars and more.
Two black people died.
A survey of the mayhem from around the country.
In Louisville, 2000 black people “rioted†at the Mall St. Matthews. In addition, shoppers report several gunshots. “Riots unfolded at Mall St. Matthews today,†reported WHAS TV news of the day after Christmas mob action. “That violence, beginning around 7, forcing mall officials to close early. It actually spread to multiple locations,†(outside the mall.)
“Why was this whole mayhem involving black kids,†asked one viewer of WHAS. “My wife and I were there plus vids show it.â€
The police spokesman said the violence was “random.â€
In the Stonecrest Mall in a suburb of Atlanta, video from inside the mall shows a group of black people fighting and pulling each other’s hair. Soon after, the group of about 10-15 moved outside, where the video shows fighting, gunshots, and at least one person hitting the ground wounded, while the other participants shrieked with glee.

Their smart phones should be confiscated as this is the means that they use to congregate in large groups. Police should look through the smart phones for all of their contacts, look up any outstanding warrants etc. Take their precious cell phones and stop treating them with kid gloves.
Is the Governor of Kentucky a Democrat?
Hmmm. The only pictures are of cars and the outside of the mall. No pictures of the “teens” creating mayhem. Its really a surprise that not one person was able to get a picture of the thousand kids mobbing the mall. /sarc
