Nice of them to bring attention to Trumps generosity !
I’ve been involved in some similar transactions and “normally” we would have what is commonly referred to as a “reverter clause” in the deed conveying the land.
As the moniker suggests, the land would “revert” back to the donor, in this case Trump, if the entity the land was given to (New York) reneged on specific issues spelled out in said “reverter clause”. Trying to change the name of the Park would certainly be one item Trump might have insisted on.

The “legislators” are both Jewish, so at least they would understand the meaning of the “new name.”

I think you solved another problem. The Redskins could become the Washington Oklahomas.
So, instead of having a nicely maintained Golf Course bringing in Revenue to the City, the Politicos chose to not allow it to be built.
Faced with the Politicos blocking him from Developing his own Property, Trump gave it to those same Politicos (with the Lawful Charity Tax Deduction) who proceeded to let it go to hell.
Boy, those crafty Politicos sure showed Trump what’s what.
