An alleged jihadist arrested in June on charges that he plotted to blow up Times Square may also be the fiend who stabbed a 9-year-old Staten Island boy in the neck five months earlier in what some investigators now believe was a botched ISIS audition.

But NYPD detectives investigating the Jan. 9 knife attack have been frustrated by the feds, who won't give them access to terror suspect Fareed Mumuni, said a source familiar with the probe.

Mumuni, 21, lived only 600 yards from Jermaine Culver, who was stabbed as he walked to school in the Mariners Harbor section of Staten Island.

Cops got their first break in the case when federal agents with the Joint Terrorism Task Force foiled an alleged four-man, New York-New Jersey terror operation in June. The group had been under surveillance since at least April.

Munther Omar Saleh, 20, of Queens, was arrested on June 13 and charged with plotting to use a pressure-cooker bomb to attack Times Square or One World Trade Center. He had also been spotted surveilling the George Washington Bridge.

Mumuni, who was studying social work at the College of Staten Island, and Saleh, a student at Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology in Queens, had met multiple times in May, according to court documents.

They were captured on phone recordings and "exchanged electronic communications in which they discussed attacking members of law enforcement," the papers say.

First I’ve heard of this story.

But I’ve heard plenty about how serious is the problem of anti-Muslim backlash in the wake of the San Bernardino slaughter.

There is a special place in hell for people who harm children.

We can look forward to more and more incidents like this, and more and more violations of the privacy of innocent citizens as the feds try to keep up with Muslim radicalization.

Or we can do as Trump suggests, and take a breather from letting in Muslims until the ones we already have can be assimilated, extremists can be identified and deported and radical mosques in the US can be shut down.

The latter makes far more sense and would be better for the people of the United States. The Democrats and the GOP-E will go with the former, of course.

Perhaps Loretta Lynch deemed the NYPD's request as "hateful rhetoric"

We haven’t heard too much from the Attorney General since she threatened to prosecute those who use their First Amendment Rights to utter “Anti-Muslim Speech.”

Of course, she “walked it back” a few days later, as members of this administration are always allowed to do after they’ve made a fool of themselves.

It baffles me how another 911 hasn't happened in that city yet with all the criminal foreign invaders they let swamp in, as Bloomberg always said "This city would collapse if it weren't for illegals". He even use to laughably claim they paid income taxes. And then you get this commie Duh Blasio whose first order of biz once he took office was to dismantle the terror task force. I think they put it back but they still can't spy on Mosques. And then you got the right off the boat Muslim driving taxis all over that city, 17,000 taxis running 24/7 with about 70% driven by Muslims. That's a lot of potential car bombs. My theory is they haven't done basically because they consider it conquered which is pretty much is.
