Chain-reaction brawls involving up to 2,000 people erupted in one of Kentucky's largest malls Saturday night, forcing the entire mall and businesses in the surrounding area to shut down, police said.
The hours-long chaos at Mall St. Matthews began about 7 p.m. ET when the six St. Matthews police officers assigned to the mall for the holiday season began responding to "disturbances," said Officer Dennis McDonald, a police spokesman.
"As they were responding to those disturbances, others were breaking out. ... Disturbances started to feed on themselves." McDonald said. "They were just overwhelmed with a number of calls for service and reports of disorder."
The officers on duty at the mall called for backup, and 50 officers from five different agencies responded, according to police.

My family will not set foot in a movie theatre. The ferals make it impossible to enjoy the film. Same goes with malls.
What ticks me off most is this: blacks have been handed every opportunity in this country.
There is nothing stopping them from getting MBAs and becoming business owners, CEOs of corporations, or shareholders. They could easily OWN department stores, pharmacies, movie theatres. And hire other blacks.
This almost never happens. How many black supermarket owners do you know? Yet they complain there are no supermarkets in black neighborhoods.
They prefer to riot, and destroy the very businesses and communities that feed them.
And our cowardly community leaders allow this.
That’s a very telling comparison.
I do feel bad for all the decent black folks who get dragged through the mud because of behaviour by others.
On a good note, it’s often very easy to tell the difference. I see a black man and his wife and kids out together, usually coming and going to church as well, just another civilized normal family.
The types that like to act up I’m pretty sure that most didn’t come from good solid God fearing families.

Or, put bars and turn them into prisons.

I was thinking more like, 30' walls, topped with high voltage cables and razor wire, cameras, drones, guards and pissed off dogs.
I keep saying the culture has turned all of us totally into individuals. One can’t see their kids college records, their spouses retirement records or health records without exact proper documentation. You have passwords for your things on your computer. Each person has their own phone and yes, with crime and hassles out in the culture, it is simple to do computer research and then order without going out.
Happened at Orange Park Mall in Florida, and at a movie theater in Mobile, AL. Hundreds of feral youth.
Probably happened in lots of other places, just have not had time to look.
No teens were arrested at the Baltimore mall disturbance last night, either. Something is up. Why can’t officers arrest these little punks? An officer was hit with a rock in Baltimore.
50 cops were sent, and NO ARRESTS were made. So, they essentially guaranteed that this kind of BS will continue, spread, and grow, because there are no consequences. Eventually, the malls will close down, people will lose their jobs, and tax revenue will fall.
A quick search shows a number of mall eruptions last night; Long Island, Little Rock, Chicago.
All encouraged by our second black president. He's promised to rev up his changes for America in this next year. Better get prepared.
Don’t go to the malls starting Thanksgiving day until kids go back to school in January. I will not go near a stinking mall for those five to six weeks.
