That time when Donald Trump saved a Georgia farm

Trump has been a man of last resort before. Right here in Georgia, in fact. And if his Republican presidential machine doesn’t seize upon the tale in the next few weeks, as he and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas battle for Southern votes, then someone in the Trump campaign will be guilty of gross incompetence.

It happened in 1986, in the midst of the worst farm crisis since the Great Depression. In Burke County, on Georgia’s eastern border, farm after farm was folding...

Trump told the Atlanta businessman that his wife, Ivana, had seen the report on the Hill family’s plight on the network news, and she suggested that he get involved. The magnate summoned Argenbright and the Hills to New York. After a brief interview, Trump signed onto the cause

Wonder how many farms the other candidates saved 30 years ago? Trump is known for helping people like this throughout the years but no one has ever known about it.

I’m glad that Mr. Trump shared this heart-warming story with his supporters by email. Those who must have very unhappy lives were posting some nasty stuff this morning about how Mr. Trump doesn’t give as much money to charity as many billionaires do. I would assume that Mr. Trump, with his keep business sense and his willingness to relate to people, helps those in need wisely, without the waste that occurs with most so-called charities.

On the other hand, look up “Trump and Iminent Domain”. I got to page 6 on google before I got bored.

Politics and big business is a dirty business.

Ok, so we have one more moron who has outed himself on the forum.

Thanks Snark.

I’m glad to hear you won’t be using any highways.
I’m glad to hear you won’t be attending any sports events.
I’m glad to hear you won’t be staying in any hotels.
I’m glad to hear you won’t be using any education institutions in the U. S.
I’m glad to hear you won’t be going to any shopping malls.
I’m glad to hear you won’t be utilizing any utilities hosted in government buildings.
I’m glad you won’t be using any technology developed at massive business entity sites.
Sorry to hear you don’t like the space program.

You just outed yourself as a person what doesn’t believe in eminent domain.

Excellent... more room for the rest of us.

Ha! I’m not a moron, thank you.

I will use literally all of those things. No room for you, I guess? I’m assuming you actually believe that every building suggested in everything you listed was taken through Iminent domain? That would be... Comical. Or, in your case, moronic.

I’m beginning to see a common thread in the Cruz supporters on this forum. Well, actually... it’s been apparent for months.

You folks have some serious challenges when it comes to reality.

I do remember seeing an article referring to this event sometime during the last 6 months and somewhere in the wide world of internet connections. Agree, this should be repeated numerous times when certain *folks* attempt to paint TRUMP as a scrooge and full of evil. However, some people refuse to research and most rely on the breaking news for their information. News which in most cases might be found in their Alphabets during their morning meals. Thank you much for bringing this to our attention. There lies good in the hearts of most mankind. At times, just a bit more difficult to find.

You forgot to mention casinos and high rise hotels on the beach.

Do you support the Kelo decision?

On behalf of the Cruz supporters who also like Trump and don't engage in the bashing of another candidate, Thanks a lot.

All candidates have things I disagree with. Being wrong on Eminent Domain is easier for me to live with than being wrong on the Corker bill, TPA for Obama, the latest omnibus bill and illegal alien amnesty as most other candidates have been or are doing.

What a great story. Thanks for posting.

What a contrast to what I read moments ago after someone right here compared millions of Trump supporters to Nazis, “who voted for Hitler and followed him blindly”.
