Donald Trump Has Just Gotten More Than 24 Hours of Free, Non-Damaging Publicity for Using One Word

Here is a quick sampling of popular site (two political, one entertainment) headlines from tonight:
These aren't all of the ones in my feed tonight, three is enough to give you the idea of the theme. Bear in mind that this is all more than 24 hours after his comment.
Depending on which non-Trump ideological and emotional ground you've staked out this primary season, these Trump media episodes are either interminably frustrating, extraordinarily pathetic, or exceedingly amusing. I embrace both of the latter two choices as I always find the modern-day media pathetic and am quite amused by the way Trump stirs them up like mindless brine shrimp in a jar of water. Again, I am not a Trump fan as far as the election goes, but this is very entertaining.
It is rather stunning to see the media still getting that "We've got him this time!" attitude whenever Trump says something that one doesn't normally hear from a politician. They then spend an entire news cycle talking about him, all the while Jeb! Bush jumps up and down in the corner yelling, "GUYS, I'm over here!"
Trump embraces the attention, doubles down on whatever he said, and drives his Republican and Democrat detractors that much closer to needing a year in a rehab facility.
As someone who long ago grew weary of the MSM playing gotcha politics with Republicans, it is kind of fun seeing them never get him.
From the beginning, I've maintained that attention seekers like Trump fear only one thing: being ignored.
If you're talking about him all the time and hoping your words are doing some damage, well, you're just going to keep getting...
you know.

Serious question:
Is the use of schlong as a verb (as in getting schlonged) a regional thing?
I understood what he meant. I have heard the term used as a description of a male member, but never as a verb.
I am not picking on Donald. I am seriously curious. There are so few local/regional colloquialisms left. I figure its a Pennsylvania thing from his military high school days (from the German origin of the word.)

No amount of money spent directly on a campaign could possibly buy this much publicity.
The Donald is living, rent-free, in some of the most prime and exclusive real estate in the world - inside these people’s heads. He is even doing a little landscaping for them, after the heads have exploded.

Out of ALL the elections I have ever watched, it becomes CLEAR AS GLASS this time the the MSM has a huge bias for the Dems.
Seriously.
Trump uses a word and it’s “vulgar”.
Hillarys response was called “firm” and a few other things.
How far do you have to look? How far exactly?
And look at the medias response to Trump talking about Putin and Russia. It’s the same old crap, like the media wants us to be back in the cold war or even WWIII.
I am so disgusted with the media I could scream.

If he gets elected it would mark the return of a two word phase which seems to have disappeared in Washington for the last 7+ years. That phrase?...”You’re fired!”

I love the way Trump gets inside their heads. He reminds me of a cat that’s playing with the mouse before he kills it. I don’t see any other candidate who makes all the right people pissed off.

my two cents worth.
The media, stupid as always, doesn’t get it.
Trump is a political “artist”. Would a van Gogh or Rembrandt painting be “fact checked” or to see if it matched up with objective reality? Or if they used a technique that was outside the “norm”? The idea of that is laughable. When we watch TV and a new product comes on do we believe everything they say about it? We still may buy it.
Nobody cares about this crap unless they are on the other side & have nothing else to counter it with!
America still thinks Clinton is a bigger liar and more untrustworthy.
Trump is painting a picture in the air and minds of listeners with broad, bold, uneven strokes. He’s almost as bad a Obama was in 2008 with “hope and change” and “...this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow.....” type crap from his nomination acceptance speech in Denver that year. For example.....Will Trump really build a wall across the entire southern border? Probably not BUT...he will come much much MUCH closer to securing it than anyone else. Everyone knows that on an instinctual level. (It would not surprise me if he really did build the wall)
Politics is much, much, MUCH more an art, rather than a science.
Trump is already at least competitive with, if not leading Clinton in the early polls, and he has not even opened his can of whup ass on her yet. Trump is willing to use anything & everything, including the kitchen sink, to hit her repeatedly over the head. That is what we need.
And another thing....Put yourself in ISIS’s shoes: Who would I fear more? Hillary ....or Trump. We all know the answer to that question.

This is the most fun I’ve had during a campaign cycle in a very, very long time.
I do so enjoy seeing the media whores impotently frothing at their respective mouths.
Armchair analysis: The leftist media created Trump. By their never ending petty and fabricated assaults and outrage at everything Republican, responded to 100% by Republicans apologizing and ass kissing. So that when someone, anyone doesn’t apologize & tells them to stuff it, that person becomes an icon to all of us who are sick of this.
So many of us have been wishing that *someone* would give it back to the liberal media bullies.

Not intending to be crude, but...
Dick is a noun. And also a verb. Trump could have said Hillary got dicked over in 2008. But he softened up his comment by using the word schlonged.

It’s probably Yiddish slang only used in some parts of NYC.
