Sounds like another "gift" from the Bush admin and GOP. Dems didn't control Congress at that point, I don't believe. Now, we have a dictator wannabe in the WH, so naturally they would try to advance a national I.D. Thanks, W.

W. kept the homeland safe after 9/11. But in EVERY other respect he was a disaster. I'd grade him at a D, at best.

It is the Real ID Act that was passed by Congress and signed by Bush. A few states have decided not to comply for various reasons.
