Anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Let’s dial back the insults to our sister and fellow freepers. There is no guarantee that either Trump or Cruz will win; in 2008, Mike Huckabee won the Iowa Republican Caucuses with 34% of the electorate. Sarah Palin was enthusiastically supported here.

There is still a lot of hard road ahead and it isn’t over ‘till it’s over. Let’s stay FRiends.

Imagine Trump speaking with a Negro Dialect like Hillary does. Don’t get me started on her Cackle.

Trump speaks like a New Yorker which would normally make many Mid Westerners and Southerners cringe. It isn’t happening.

While I’m a Cruz first, Trump second kind of guy, watching Trump speak reminds me of my Childhood in New York listening to my Italian / Scottish Uncles.

The way Trump speaks, his bluntness, language and the way he flails his arms is like reliving the Family gatherings of my youth. I never miss one of Trump’s Speeches even if I’ve already heard most of his bullet points may times before. There is always a surprise coming that gets everyone all schlonged up.

My quiet, unassuming Apolitical Wife loves Trump and she laughs at his colorful language. She firmly believes that this Country needs someone like Trump and she will tell anyone who brings up Politics exactly what she thinks which has never happened before.

The most interesting Election Season ever!

So I stop in to grocery for a few last minute items. The clerk who “helped” me to car and another shopper and I were discussing how wonderful the experience was this year. — lots of MERRY CHRISTMAS and considerations (Deli department even gave away free cranberry sauce. )
Trumps name and PC correctness was mentioned by several times!
What a joy to share the shopping experience actually a blessing with all the smiles.
Merriest of Christmass
Keep the spirit in your heart the whole year through!

You’ve made up your mind to disbelieve anything Trump says.

Be honest about it. At first you didn’t want to admit you supported Cruz. Now you don’t want to admit that no matter what Trump says, you aren’t going to believe him.

So my first post was dead on target. You are one of those folks. You are here to trash Trump.

What a waste of your and my time getting you to admit your mindset and goals.

I saw three Trump bumper stickers, yesterday, while finishing up some last minute shopping. And, this was just in my little town!

A very Merry Christmas, indeed!

I received my Trump Christmas card, as well. We the People are ready for Trump to Make America Great, again!

Merry Christmas :)

I was never afraid or reluctant to say I supported Cruz. You misunderstood from the start, although I can understood why that was the case.

I made the “I don’t know where you’re going with this you guys comment” because, as I explained I never have, to my knowledge, and probably never will crow and hoop and holler on here about where Ted Cruz is at in the polls when he’s doing well.

I’m sorry, but it’s really not my fault that you choose to put all Cruz supporters in the same bucket. I know it happens with Trump supporters too. But at the end of the day, I’m my own person and I probably am different from a lot of Cruz supporters in that I’m not counting on him to “fix the country” either. I just explained to Fantasywriter elsewhere, I think the country is too far gone for us to simply elect someone, say, “Okay, fix it for us” and then go back to our lives.

A lot of people are saying God raised Trump up, or maybe even raised Cruz up. The more I look at it, I’m not convinced He raised ANY of these people up. I saw a guy, a little bit of his show, a while back when I did a search on Donald Trump being King Saul, which is exactly who he is to me. A guy be the name of Dr. James David Manning, who I won’t completely vouch for as something seems off about him, nevertheless raised a good point in saying that pretty much everyone we’ve had has been a Saul.

They’re all people who simply want to be president and want us to vote for them. I think attaching anything divine to ANY of them at this point is misguided at best.

I just think Ted Cruz is the best and the best match for what I’m looking for from an imperfect bunch.

As far as not believing anything Trump says, well in our conversation you referenced that he’s talked about the need to reduce our debt and how dangerous it is, and let’s see, double checking myself, yes I SAID THAT I BELIEVE DONALD TRUMP IS SINCERE IN WANTING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE DEBT.

So, there goes that.

And again, with what I referenced, I again DO BELIEVE Trump when he says “civil liberties might need to be reassessed” and people who reference freedom of speech are foolish people when it comes to closing off part of the internet. I believe and trust that he feels that way and would intend to do such a thing and I think it’s a slippery slope at best.

Now, as far as some other things, yeah I’ve made up my mind, if that’s what you want me to say, to be very skeptical of some of the things he says when his past comments and past record, in as much as we have a record on him, contradicts him. We didn’t believe everything Mitt Romney said when he was running for office because we knew the record. We sure as heck don’t believe much of anything Barack Obama says because we know the record and we know the ideology.

So, pardon me for being skeptical when we have a guy who last time he ran for president wrote in his campaign booklet that we needed to reconsider universal healthcare, modeling the Canadian and British systems, put forth the idea of “taxpayer subsidized health markets”, supported Obamacare in 2009(though he was concerned about the cost)said at the first debate single payer works great in Scotland and Canada, said after he was running that we need to do something to take care of people, take care of poor people in our healthcare system, and in fact DID, as Norm Lenhart tried to explain to someone, say, “Sorry conservatives, we have to take care of people.”- paraphrasing.

In that same campaign he proposed his 14.25% wealth confiscation tax on accounts and estates of $10 million or more. To this day, as he told Sean Hannity, though he’s not proposing that any more he did consider it a “very conservative thing” and of course still proposes a progressive tax system, albeit with lower rates.

I’m here to discuss when I talk with someone on here. I try to honor my word when I say I’m not going to go out of my way to trash Trump or anyone who supports him. I WILL admit that in getting drawn into conversations or feeling compelled to respond to a point I either agree with entirely or would like to engage with someone on, it can lead to that.

But then again, as often happens on here, if someone gets in an enlongated conversation with me, in which more and more of my views are requested or come out in the process, I’m going to honestly speak my mind. If it offends you or disappoints you that I’m not on your “team”, well that’s too bad I guess.

If you consider outlining reasons as to why I’m not supporting Trump when asked or when the conversation continues as “trashing him”, then again that’s too bad.

YOU seem to be the one as much as ANYONE here (though I’m sure you’re not alone) who has decided to play it as an “us vs. them mentality” on this board and most anyone who doesn’t agree with you is treated as an enemy. That sure as heck isn’t my fault.

Indeed, you started out by saying “You guys”(Cruz supporters) and then decide to say I am “one of those folks”. I can almost feel the contempt through my monitor.

I don’t know if that’s the new racism or “you’re a racist” or if I’ve been microagressed against. I suppose it doesn’t matter.

The sad part about all of this is you and I have had cordial conversations even while disagreeing in the past, and the very first encounter I ever had with you if memory serves correctly I probably told you then I supported Ted Cruz. I understand things can be forgotten, especially since I don’t post much here on a daily basis usually.

But again, using your own logic, that finger can be pointed right back at you. You’re specifically sitting on something that you’re going to post as a piece of criticism on Ted Cruz after the first of the year. I’ll look forward to reading that hopefully, as if it strikes a chord I have no problem saying, “Well Ted isn’t such a great choice either.” But maybe that makes you “one of those folks here to trash Cruz.”

Truthfully though, I’d rather not get into all that. And as far as a waste of time, as I’ve said- it doesn’t seem like very many minds are generally changed by what any of us say here. If you thought otherwise, and if you expected me to back off my own beliefs just to be nice, well again, I keep saying it, but too bad.

Other than that, have a Merry Christmas.
