Perhaps a bit earlier than typical, the informal part of the transition to power is starting.The same sort of optimistic change happened from Jimmy Carter to President Reagan. The nation knew the malaise had lifted.

Those doing the vetting might have gained courage from Trump proposal and his high polling numbers
Everyone in government is walking on eggshells because of (citizen) Trump. I think (citizen) Trump's impact is YUUUGE on everything. I couldn't be happier for it.

I remember that.
Even though it was a couple of years before things really began to change, there was the expectation that the country was turning around.
We, as a nation, stopped being pessimists and began being optimists.
Perception.
A very powerful thing when you have a strong and optimistic Leader who is unshakable in his beliefs.
